The fact that this thread (along with the Prince is OVA thread) has more views and replies than the Welcome 2 Chigago thread makes me hate this site and Prince's (majority) fanbase even more than I did when the "remasters" complaints were kicking in. I'm on this non-updating website because of Prince. I didn't treat this as a social network like some people did and that being their reason why they're still here.

Many artists become bitter and cold because they are ripped off and taken advantage of by their employee's, their friends and family and by their management/record companies. It is easy to criticize but very hard to create. Prince is a incredibly gifted musician but, he is not perfect. He makes mistakes because like all of us, he is not perfect. Who is on this planet? Give him a break and just listen to his music. If you don't like it, don't listen. Prince does not owe any of us anything. He has been making music since he was a kid and I bet there are days he just not feel like being Prince the musician. I bet he gets tired of all the criticism poor guy. I could not imagine being under a microscope and having everything I did right or wrong, judged by critics, fans and the media.

Speaking of the Internet, wasn't this guy in love with the 'Net way beck when in the late '90's? He was even saying how much he loved the original Napster. Now he's in full dragnet mode shutting down sites. Sounds like we have a Lauryn Hill set-up here, of a person on some personal 'trip' that is just turing off fans and admirers. | |

Do you have as much contempt for the fans on this site as Prince does is the real question. You should maybe go to the official Prince website for open, honest discussion, access to new (and old) music available for download and frequent updates on what's going on with everyone's favorite musician instead of hanging out here.
Oh, wait. There is no such website. Guess you're stuck wih us until he sues us and shuts us down, or until the owners decide "what's the fucking point?"
