it never fails: whenever i'm listenin 2 the prince album, i can't help but look at the back cover...



...questions start runnin through my noggin:

what the heck wuz p thinkin?

what the heck wuz the horse thinkin?

does anybody know if there's a story out there about the photo shoot 4 the above pic? there's gotta be sumfin about how that all came 2 be.

I try to avoid to avoid that picture at all costs. It kinda intrigues me how much you salivate over his early pictures (For You / Prince / Dirty Mind)... They're just nasty!

I heard that he was wearing swimming trunks for the photo shoot. And that he was only on the horse for a couple of minutes. A lot of airbrushing was done to the photo to erase the trunks and add the wings on the horse. That's about all I've heard about it.

You just wants to see him buckit nekkid on a winged horse. You don't even like the music

Well the album is GREAT, and I honestly like the back cover.. I like the horse "pegasus" and I think the cover is pretty creative..

Yeah! I LOVE it, most underrated album of his career. There's not a single song on it I don't like, it's right up there as one of the albums I listen to most, along with Parade & 1999.

and I always thought the back cover was pretty cool, Prince doing his own thing again. How many other artists would dream of doing something like that?

this was my first album i bought and after all these years it is still in mint condition. i just love lookin at the back cover.i love his old pics better than the new ones

The imagery in that picture is so gay sometimes i can understand why people ask that question about his sexuality!

Definitely a 70's thing. But the picture is funky especially for the time period. If someone did the same thing today people would know it came Prince's idea and imagery.
