Tadaomi Parties Like Its 1999

When I think of pop art, a flutter of brightly colored images and Campbell soup cans flash through my mind. I guess I have been jaded by the work of Andy Warhol. Tadaomi Shibuya creates his own pop art using distinct geographic shapes and shadowing.

“My art has many straight lines because the straight line is a uniquely human concept. I follow this concept as a basic rule.” It’s almost an underlying message. How such straight lines can create such detailed and more than straight works of art. Something so harmonized and meaningful stemming from something so defined.

Shibuya, currently residing in Japan, has a truly unique talent. Many of his illustrations are musical icons or human faces. He believes that music and expression dissect the inner workings of what a person is feeling.

Don't know the artist, but I've saved this one when I saw it in a thread couple of years ago,,,,

Never really was big on Prince in Art-Haven't seen one yet that was spectacular, but Im hopeful

I always thought the Welcome 2 Australia tour poster was a great piece of art, who designed this? Does anyone know.

And then there's my own art, this time with a photograph with various Prince items, here I have comingled a guitar model (White cloud) with an image of his eyes and lips from a single and to the left a Prince pendant, trying to capture the source of Prince's chi (Life force) and musical propulsion
