So I just got the Scandalous Sex Suite at a local record store (it was like $6 too!)

What should I expect?

I was trying to hear the guitar solo from Dear Michelangelo to see if it is the same. I guess I can't hear it, that song is just so busy.

Wowowowowowo don't listen to them and DON'T play the CD.

FIRST, go to the club or wherever u wanna and grab a motherfucker and bring him home and then program ur CD playa to play tracks 1-3 on repeat (u don't want Sex to pop-up and ruin your sensual moment every 20 minutes) and undress the MF and take him to bed and NOW u're ready to listen to The Scandalous Sex Suite

After listening through twice, I'm already tired of the "conversations" but I LOVE Sex and it's nice having When 2 R In Love to follow

"Sex" was a real surprise for me upon hearing it for the first time last year. I was convinced right then and there that Prince kept Stevie's "Talking Book" within close reach.

As for Scandalous, I enjoy the initial track, never could make it through the rest though. But it happens to be revered here, you might enjoy it

And the price is a steal too!!! Was it used? I found the 12" LP single in mint condition in some record store in Manchester, it cost a grip, sure as hell ain't near 6 bucks

Especially the solo in 'The Rapture'...It is the same from 'Dear Michaelangelo' it's just slowed down to a slower tempo. Nevertheless the whole piece is amazing.

THe SSS is my favorite thing as it pertains to Prince doing ballads!

It's the main thing!

I have said it once and will say it again. 'Scandalous' is my favorite ballad from Prince. It out beats Insatiable, Adore, and Do Me Baby, or any other song people look at as 'SOUL JAM.

For me it's just a trip! Nothing quite like it!

Yeah it was used, and it's a CD not an LP... had a huge sticker on it that said "out of print" so I was like no way I'm leaving without this

I haven't been in this area of the org in a while, but I knew I remembered some people saying they really enjoyed it.

I love this CD.

I brought it out a few days ago to store into iTunes, and played it after that. Loved listening to it again!

And yes the Kim B parts are tacky, but dont forget that this is a 20 year old song.

Back then, the thought of P and Kim together was wank worthy.

But now, everything P OR Kim B related cringe worthy.

Put it on, wait for night or pull the curtains, light some candles and get ready to enjoy one of his best ballads ever, in its full unexpurgated glory, an amazingly brilliant single. One of the best, the $6 was well invested and the 2 other songs S.E.X. and When 2 R in Love are also gems too.
