Every thread needs harmonizing. Without harmonies, all you have is rap.

I do this only, and I mean only when the dogs outside have done something very bad. That is their punishment for tearing up the "morning papers" or lawn furniture. smile

It is a kind of howl/growl/painful noise... though no animals were harmed in the attempt to sing in Prince's falsetto voice, lol!!

Uh, the title states: "Do U ever attempt to sing Prince songs in an exaggerated falsettA." Which means you don't need a dick to sing "falsetta." lol Unless you choose to add one for the chorus. wink

I sing "Kiss: of course in my closest approximation to Prince falsetto (i.e. my attempt at mirroring a flawless falsetto performance is raising my voice two octaves which makes me sound like a rabid howler monkey).

I also attempt to do all 27 Prince voices in "7". And I Bobby McFerrin the opening bass from "And God Created Woman". And of course, I often break into "Good Love", seldom getting the words right.

My daughters love my Prince imitations, especially when they hanging out with one of their friends.

All good things they say never last...

I sometimes try to imitate Prince's falsetto and I fall terribly short, other times I sing his songs, falsetto or not, and I find myself exaggerating the vocal performance to make an effect. And then there are those times when I'm pretty content with my performance.

One of the songs where I'm most pleased with my performance is Forever In My Life. It's pretty easy to sing, it has emotional depth and I love that I'm able to sing that song pretty well.

er

I'm ashamed to admit that yes I do.
I took lessons in playing bass guitar years ago and my teacher taught me to find the notes to play by sìngìng them.
And he told me I could hit 4 octaves-
But that doesn't make me a good singer...
But I can still try, can't I? Even with Al Green or Curtis Mayfield.,
