The Flesh The Madhouse albums are top notch. I also really enjoy his instrumentals that came before them, shortberry strawcake and the 2 from The Family album. Anyway this makes me wonder about The Flesh sessions. With all the recent leaks is there a chance these could also one day leak, that would be as cool as me. The only song i have heard attributed to The Flesh is U Gotta shake something. Is that song just made to soundas if it's live or is it for real from a show and if so which one?

It's not from a show, and was not included on a configuration of The Flesh album.

U Gotta Shake Something is a pure Studio creation. If you want a tiny bit more to chew on, Junk Music plays in the background of the Car Race scene in UTCM.
I would love to hear the album. But I doubt anyone has it outside of Prince.

The Flesh sessions are my Prince holy grail

Yeah, I'd give a lot to put my hands on these... I hope that somebody somewhere has a copy of these sessions, or at least the album, and that he/she will share them one day...
Of course another option would be that Prince pulls himself together and releases it himself A COMPREHENSIVE PRINCE DISCOGRAPHY (work in progress ^^): https://sites.google.com/...scography/

It would be great to get a release featuring all the stuff that led to the creation of the album, the paisley jam, the everybody's jam etc. Madhouse 8 is one of my favourite albums and by all account The Flesh stuff is as good and in a very similar vein.

I know its some rehearsing of Computer Blue, but in the movie PR when Dr Fink Bobby z & BrownMark are jamming it reminds me of some Madhouse stuff, and especially the Revolution jamming Feline
Sheila E's Merci 4 the Speed of a Mad Clown in Summer also has that 'junk music' feel
a lot of improve music came out of 1985/86 Susannah's Blues
U Gotta Shake Something & It's Gonna Be a Beautiful Night prob fall into the same vein

12.28.1985-1.22.1986 Mobile" (referring to Mobile, Alabama) was a bluesy piece. Similarly "12 Keys" featured mmany key changes (the song incorporates a portion of the melody of "The Question Of U"). Voodoo Who" and "Finest Whisky" "Tibet" "Up From Below", "Y'all Want Some More?" and "A Couple Of Miles"

I just keep dreaming about a mega The Complete The Flesh Sessions box-set in the vein of Miles Davis' box-sets, with the original cancelled album as it was on CD 1, then the complete, unedited sessions...
Keep dreaming, boy... A COMPREHENSIVE PRINCE DISCOGRAPHY (work in progress ^^): https://sites.google.com/...scography/
