Prince should record his version of his first song he did for others-I Don't Wanna Stop In 1981 Prince produced a song I Don't Wanna Stop for Ren Woods.Song is a funk monster groove with disco edge and thumping bass line.Lyrics and melody are cool.Strange he pulled the song from her album because it could have been a big hit.i find it to be one of the best songs he composed for other artists. And i think with Prince's vocal and few touches of modern can be a hit or cult favorite.

I find this to be on of the most non-descript, least memorable tracks he ever gave to anyone.

Prince does disco. I have to admit I sorta loved this track from the moment I heard it. I don't know if that means it's good, tho. "That's when stars collide. When there's space for what u want, and ur heart is open wide."

First off, of course Prince does disco! Haven't you heard his first album? Second, I Don't Wanna Stop could not possibly have become a hit song. And though it was eventually pulled from the album, it was originally released on the album, which did not help the album sell at all because the bland, forgetable song sucked. Nor was it the best song on the album, which featured Billboard R&B #38 "Take Me To Heaven." I've had the Renn Woods album since the mid-80s, by the way. Not every Prince-written song is worth listening to. And certainly not every one of them were hits.

I love it. Upbeat and catchy. The horns and the stop and go frantic action have me dancing and sweating soon as I heard it. Straight Jacket Funk Affair
Album plays and love for vinyl records.

Just asking 'really?' - you can favour any track you like, just asking why
