Your loss.
Is this a different Exodus CD?
Nope. But I had the CD for a while before I really paid attention to what was going on in this segue. If you have it, queue up "New Power Day" and listen to the part around 1 minute and 14 seconds in when the guy is knocking on the door. You'll hear moaning and a couple of splashes, and then the toilet flushes. The story continues with the guy coming in through the bathroom window and being knocked out by the smell. I'm not making this up. I swear.

If anybody's really shocked at Prince's religious awakening over the past decade or so, they really haven't been paying attention to his music, or his stage show, or pretty much anything about him since 1981. JERKIN' EVERYTHING IN SIGHT!!!!! |

- When he began having interviews more casually (yeah that was a weird moment in time)
- When he embraced new jack swing and tried it his own way (with mixed results)
- When I saw him do "Gotta Broken Heart Again" on BET
- When he came out of nowhere to do "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame (I earned a new respect after he did that)
- When Beyonce appeared with him at the Grammys and they pulled it off
The religion and suing doesn't surprise me. Nor is his love-hate relationship with the internet.
Edited out of embarassment... [Edited 7/14/12 17:16pm] |

I must've forgotten about that because I was too excited to see Prince get in. Thanks for refreshing my memory.
I guess sometimes, some things stick out more than others and it makes you forget about everything else. [Edited 7/14/12 17:17pm] |

1. Having a song on an album that I actively DISLIKED, thought wwas crap and that made me CRINGE - THe Arms of Orion, since then there've been many.
2. Releasing a Hits album - during the eighties, artist released "Greatest Hits" every 2 years or so. I really respected how he resisted this and then wham in '93 it dropped and that was the beginning of, well, not the end, but an end. "We've never been able to pull off a funk number"

Never expected him to cut himself off from the Internet/ cyberspace considering how ahead of his time he has always been To live in LA Didn't think I'd see him on American Idol Never thought I'd see him on the Muppet Show - but love that he did, ditto for performing Gett off at the MTV awards with the cheekless pants! And a bit o/t:- Never thought I'd hear my mum say how good he still looks on the weekend, despite her having not liked him since the first time she saw the Kiss video [Edited 7/8/12 20:20pm]
Live in LA- absolutely! Never thought he would live there-
And American Idol! I was like ? ????? when he did that!
Why not? He has always had a place in L.A, especially back in the days. That is the least surprising thing to me. Think of all those sessions at Sunset Sound in the 80s.
