Prince produced only a small amount of music for other artist in the last few years.We have Bria's and tamars albums .when you compare these albums with the stuff he did in the past for Sheila E and the other artists what can you say about his producer roles? Did he mature?how different is his production style today ? I think Prince did mature and grown as a producer just for the fact that the work he do for others isn't like "hey let's sound exactly like Prince" and kill the produced artist personality.at the same time i do wonder if maybe in the 80's Prince produced musicians aprouched him because they wanted to sound like Prince,just like in the last decades artist wanted Timberland to give them his sound. Today Prince can produce you real nice the only thing is the quality of compositions is not as good as it was in the 80's.
