I too just recently ran this cd in the ground this past month. Chelsea Rodgers is the shit, that easily gets repeated....it's not long enough for me, so I'm gonna have my son extend it.

I hate ths album cover...ugh mad

I like most of it. Not a big fan of Lion of Judah or Resolution.

But I dig everything else. Chelsea Rodgers kinda grates on me now because of Shelby. But it used to be hot.

umm how??

I like the album cover, I think because prince looks really good in red.

Also, Ernest is missing a symbol necklace. that would have made it perfect!

pray Peace in the House of Prince.

I hate to admit.. I LOVE Mr Goodnight.. It's cheesy, it's camp and it makes me giggle.

Or maybe cause I wouldn't object to be swept away on a private jet and treated to a new dress. Superficial? yes. do I care? no!

I've only listened to this once. It's one of the albums I don't want to listen to ever again. Boring rehash combined with unconvincing songwriting. Prince should be ashamed of releasing an album like this.

You listened to it once eek

Wow, great effort.

There's something about the cover mount albums (Planet Earth and 20Ten) which sound to me as if he was just turning in the bare minimum. MPLSound sort of has this effect on me, too. I like all of the songs, but the albums don't sound quite as developed as they could be (although, I guess MPLSound doesn't need to be because it's included in a triple disc set).

I got the same feeling from the contractual obligation albums: Come, Chaos & Disorder, and The Vault. Those albums are loaded with great songs, but he just turned in the bare minimum to stick it to Warner Brothers. I feel like he's been doing the same in the mid to late 2000s because of internet piracy or some other reason.

Hi-yo Silver, it's The Bone Ranger!

I'm right there with you! To have your man ask you which dress you picked so he can put on a matching suit!

The one U wana C is his best song of the last 20 years.

I've always felt like that was the weakest song on the album and one of his worst of the past 20 years.

This song, along with The Holy River from Emancipation (AND TMBGITW), keeps deviding fans. Some say they are utter crap, others they are masterpieces. The one thing they share is they're well crafted POP songs..

Some tracks I've listened to more often, but the album as a whole just once.

You know after all these years it's pretty easy to judge if you're challenged or not as a listener.

PE will always be a SPECIAL ablum to ( with ) me. I was listenin' to a few trax before the album dropped that a 'friend' blushing sent me when my wife and I had our first visit to Minneapolis for the 7-7-7 shows. I'll always remember that and it was so much fun ( that year ).

Peace ... & Stay Funky ...

The one U wana C sounds like country music.

> not a good thing, imo..

I like The One U Wanna C but it never fails to startle me. Prince has me lured into the safe, warm embrace of Somewhere Here on Earth; drifitng away on the romantic waves of his dreamy voice...only to be forcefully yanked from my beautiful reverie by the twangy loud guitar intro of One U Wanna c! And I have to admit, it's quite alarming! I find it a shock to my senses, like tipping the ice cold water-bucket of reality back on me! Oh yeah, Im washing the dishes, not gazing into Prince's ineffable eyes on the bridge of St Charles in Prague. Aggh, and here I go falling into another daydream.... mushy

I have always listened to the title track first and see how the album fits from there

i LOVE Planet Earth(the song) the album as a whole doesn't work, some cool songs, some not

But to title an album like that and none of the songs really connect throws it off for me

Somewhere Here On Earth I love, and can work as a love song with a title like this

Sign of the Times is sorta the same, Title track leads you to believe the direction would be different. But for some reason the Sign o the Times lead off doesn't get lost with the rest of the album

On Planet Earth it doesn't flow right,

I didn't. i just mentioned this song as an example. I actually like The Holy River a lot untill the 5:00 mark where the guitar park is not his best ever and actually destroys the nice flow of the song somewhat

When I picked up ATWIAD with the images & title I listen to the songs/music and it works, the concept, it's cohesive even the B sides, which makes even songs I might not consider as strong, really good.

Everywhere

The Sun, The Moon And Stars

New World

Animal Kingdom

One Song

Planet Earth

Welcome 2 The Dawn

Magnificent

S.S.T.

Resolution

Strays Of The World

Madrid 2 Chicago

Space

And God Created Woman

Somewhere Here On Earth

This actually is a good playlist,

Now that would be a good Planet Earth cohesive album

Yeah I really loved Resolution. The harmonies are really good. It kinda has the breezy summertime feel to it in my opinion. It actually reminds me of that first song from Sonic Adventure for some reason o_O. Like I tried to play Emerald Coast the other day and I played Resolution during the level and it worked PERFECTLY...
