Interesting track but I prefer the older Extraloveable. "Free URself, B the best that U can B, 3rd Apartment from the Sun, nothing left to fear" Prince Rogers Nelson - Forever in my Life -

OK - I finally got a chance to hear these and DAMNNNNNNNNNNN!!
Love that this stuff is somehow leaking...cant help but think that P is behind all of this
Lust 4 U is a classic and definitely fits nicely in with the b-sides of their time. Excellent!
Vicki Waiting (long) - this was always one of my favs from the Batman era so thrilled to hear this long version. It also makes me realize how much I miss the days of B-sides and 12inch versions of P's songs.
Maybe he's finally ready to revisit his past and release all these unheard classics to the world!
I know...I know...riiiiiight The greatest live performer of our times was is and always will be Prince.

I've thinking about the same. These old gems torment him... He needs to get rid of them to stop the torture.
I hope all the others continue their way out...

I think it was left off because it was too similar to Automatic, and he felt that was the better track.
Either way, I definitely agree with you. THIS is the type of release that muthafuckas SHOULD be getting all giddy about. Not those mundane, timid "rehearsal jams" he's been leaking. Keep 'em to yourself, holmes! I want more shit like this to come out!

Prince had absolutely NOTHING to do with these songs starting to circulate.
And yes, as asked earlier this was offered to Robert Palmer but he turned it down. Can you imagine a Robert Palmer video of this with the Robert Palmer "Addicted To Love" girls backing him up? It's a good thing he turned it down, Robert Palmer could not give a convincing vocal performance on this song. Only Prince could sing something like this.

Thanks, Militant, for alerting us to these leaked tracks, especially "Vicki Waiting" (that one jams!). Why does he let these recordings just languish in his vault? Hi-yo Silver, it's The Bone Ranger!

Great to hear this version of Vicky Waiting. Think I prefer the album bass line plus the absence of the lead line hurts this version. Having said that...the album could have benefitted from the inclusion of the haunting guitar sequence towards the end of the track. [Edited 6/25/12 21:37pm]

A VERY GOOD point about these being as exciting as hearing a new B-Side or Long Mix.
As for P being behind these leaks....... we could only wish, but no, as these have been around for a year at least.

I agree, this is one of those songs that only Prince can sing.It wouldn't be nearly as exciting,if done by another artist.

Loving this track. Massive thanks to whoever set it free and thanks to Militant for letting it know. I'm guessing he got a tip off. Makes me hope that there's more to come. I think he should've given this to Andre Cymone, I could hear it on one of his albums.

Very nice(both of them). Vicki Waiting is probably my fave track off of Batman so that's a real treat. Lust U Always is funky and naughty! Very nice indeed! When go 2 a Prince concert or related event it's all up in the house but when log onto this site and the miasma of bitchiness is completely overwhelming!

Hey there. Nope, I didn't get it (if it even exists), because I didn't download the one that had the .exe in the file name... I downloaded the one without (.rar), which just had two mp3s.
Thanks.

Well, apparently there are people who share great things like this. so THANK YOU for this great news. ))) Can't wait !
I haven't heard of it myself... already a year ??? Seems quite impossible since I'm pretty well informed when it comes to unreleased stuff circulating (like so many other long time Prince fans).
So, there are people who like to keep rare unreleased things to themselves, rather then share it with the 'fans' who would die to get their hands on their beloved star's music, like me.
So, if there's someone out there who still has rare unreleased and hard to find stuff, just share it. So we all can enjoy more & more & more... Peace.

Same here, I like this full version but the 10:30 instrumental is still my fav!! Faster and funkier!! Love the Vicky Waiting long version better than the album version.

This shit is on FIRE.
The more I listen to it, the better it gets.
It grooves, but it rocks. It pushes forward like a train.
Love that dirty synth sound.

I really can't hear the similarity with Automatic and Lust U Always as far as the song itself goes but the production is definitely similar (Linn drum, keyboard sounds).
To me it sounds like a hybrid of Jack U Off and Gotta Stop (Messin' About) but with 1999 album production.
It is a HOT track though. Loving it! [Edited 6/27/12 19:40pm] ~And even when I'm right, I'll be wrong...it's Automatic too.

well this at least sounds like Prince not turning into a mediocre symptom of the 1980s.
I had a really ace dream the other night about Prince still rocking it in his sixties - he's given up the guitar for a bit, then had a London dubstep style (not shit LA style) brass FM honk off the drummer, then kicked into the rest of the next song he was about to play from yesterday.
Damn, i love me some Prince.

Agreed 100% I miss the lead line synth. This one sounds like an early mix or even an extended remix. I still bet a long version of the song is tucked away in the vault though. Have not watched the Batman movie in many years but I'm still under the impression the extended part of Vicki Waiting played during a scene sounded more like the album version musically. I dunno it's been awhile.
I'll take these unreleased tracks over those "new" rehearsals anyday. Can u imagine all the stuff we've never even heard about. Yes some were never heard or released for good reason but it's truly amazing the shear amount of songs he has in the bag. Who else has anything even close to compare? I just look at my collection of outtakes I've got since the late 80's and it's insane. I wonder how many songs there are out as of today including "official" and "unofficial" releases?..............Still never enough for a Prince fan though. "Hey, I got the butta 4 ya muffin, honey.. I'm just 2 old 2 hold the knife!"

Woah..late to the party. I wish I liked Lust U Always More. I like the conviction. The lyrics are fun. The breakdown is quite entertaining. I think the lead line gets very cloying, though. It sounds like it's unreleased for a reason, as it's not quite on the level. I'm dying to hear the Camille version, though. I bet it's 100% funkier cuz this one seems to be missing the funk. "That's when stars collide. When there's space for what u want, and ur heart is open wide."

not saying that you have to like this, cuz if you don't...fine.
but bitch, please
can't believe the number of people that still complain when they get a free 82 outtake.
i prefer the other versions, this is so meh, if this is what the vault contains he can keep it, don't bother releasing that shit.. etc etc.
