This is fantastic!

The opening drum beat is verrrrry close to "Raspberry Beret", which is from the same period.

The most interesting thing is how some bits don't sound like anything from 82 (as far as we know) - the duet part at 2:12? Fantastic! The rap part almost reminds me of "Player"... seems like with this and Extraloveable, he was trying to push that envelope - amazing how these kind of lyrics are still shocking in 2012, proof that his mind is a little sicker than most!

Even the main lyrics are very different than anything he was doing at the time. Just fantastic, fantastic - more please

The style of rap or spoken language at the end is kind of similar to "Superfunkycalifragisexy". I like the track!

Much funkier approach than the album version! Not too keen on the sampled vocals at the end of it.

Noone can get all judgemental about the 'rape' line in LUA - Prince DIDNT release it i.e. not intended for release as is - maybe the lyrics are the reason why.

It would be funny if Prince gets to know about the leak and records LUA 2012 - lord only knows what lyrics we'd end up with.

Lust U Always is great. It has a sound that is a blend between the 1999 and the Purple Rain albums (I'm thinking of "Automatic" and "Computer Blue" in particular). I wouldn't compare it to stuff like "No Call U" myself. The rape lyric is disturbing, but sometimes demo tracks have dumb (improvised?) stuff like that on them.

Vicki Waiting was a bit of a letdown. I expected loads of guitar work on the extended section, but it's mostly just sampler stuff. Not really complaining though.

Cool to hear these "new" outtakes. Thanks to the ones that chose to let others hear them too.

It's a cool song, can see why it wasn't released but still good. No need to make excuses for the lyrics, not the first nor last time he wrote something incredibly dumb.

It a cool little remix but it's not the epic version that is Batman 1989.

So the mystery now for me is the Vicki Waiting that appears at 17:05 is this an alternate version or an intrumental version.

So far I've listened to Lust U Always. It didn't take many seconds to think that "this is probably really good" and it turned out it is. It's like he could do almost nothing wrong in the early 80s.

vicki is ok .. i really like the npg version of this song ... probably the best thing npg with bland ever did .. wish it was in lossless somewhere .. the batman version never really sounded that good to me and the extended doesn't improve much on it .. such a great song tho

Freakin funky.....although sounds like a whole different song than the original, think it would sound even cooler with the vocals overlaid over the instrumental version as the instrumentation seemed more 'dramatic'....maybe there is a version of that hidden away somewhere too...wouldn't be surprised! However sure this version will be a 'grower' hehe

I can't wait to see what comes next, but I'm a bit disappointed with "Our Destiny" not having Prince's vocals on it. Lisa vocals were so bland on that song, but I really like the music on it.....
