I like the one I was at. The others I've heard are okay. I do like jams though.

I think what's to tell is how you came to be at the rehearsal. Nice smile.

I say yay. Rehearsals have never been my favourite type of Prince rarity, but no-one can deny that they offer an interesting glimpse into how live shows are formed, and how Prince works with whatever his current band is.

Would people really rather not ever hear anything like this? Why would you want to tell Prince, "you know what? Meh, dont bother"?

They neither excite me nor bother me, so meh. Tis just one opinion.

I guess I just see them as a necessary part of the overall document of Prince's musical career. Fascinating to see how he has developed over time. I'm certainly not advocating that everyone should agree.

nay right from the jump

man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

i pretty much feel the same way you do, nurse, they were ok when we got them but i'm kind of

bored with them now.

still, they're a nice little EP, in my eyes, a small document of this tour and band and in future it

will be a nice oddity to 'rediscover' and play.

Kinda like a drive through burger -you crave it, but once you tuck in you realise it 's not hot enough, doesn't look so fresh and it leaves you wishing you'd chosen something a bit healthier! But, hey, we always go back again.... lol

thats just the way rehearsals are sometimes. i know my band can play as tight as can be at rehearsals, but you still dont give off the same vibe as when you have an audience.

Yea to rehearsal bootlegs, nay to sanitized, spoonfed "jams." (In quotes because he's giving us aren't really jams - they're as tightly scripted and orchestrated as anything he's ever done.)

We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

YOU PERFECTLY Described it!! nod

smile

I felt this for the first time; with the 19 minute rehearsal. Firstly, it was too long. Secondly...I remember just nodding my head, thinking to myself...Is he going to leave this loop alone or keep it the whole way through? LOL. I was most amazed, at the 'America' Bass line and the 'GET FREAKY LIKE YOUR HEAD BOB".

Everything else was pretty dope, but I had hoped for a more swift change..BUT hey it was a rehearsal!

" The Dance Electric and Mutiny" rehearsals were far superior! When Prince is on guitar telling others what to do..I can stand that more than anything else.

BUT...as you said..

I WILL ALWAYS GO BACK AGAIN!

It's so true with the fast food analogy...lol

Yes to all except I wasn't fond of the Mutiny one.

I definitely like modern day updated jams.

Am I going to get in trouble for not really making a choice?! razz I was excited to get something and I did enjoy the Mutiny/Ice Cream Castles jam, but if this is all a tease leading up to an Andy album only, then bored2 ... I need a little more Prince and a little less NPG. lol And I agree with Genesia; these jams sound edited. Not a bad thing for some, but not for me.
