Prince is releasing a product for sale and this site is like a questionnaire on a restaurant table to fill out after you've eaten your meal. Are people supposed to lie on the questionnaires in the restaurant and just be grateful that the restaurant is open in the first place even though the food has gotten worse? Sure, they could stop dining at the restaurant altogether but what happens when more and more people stop dining there? The restaurant eventually closes altogether and then what's the reaction of the worshippers of the restaurant that thought it could do no wrong? They're upset because the restaurant is history and no longer in business.

Since Prince has been known for releasing a completely different sounding album than the previous one, I can see why people still stick around and give him another chance when they don't like an album. So the way I see it is, it's the worshippers and ass kissers that should be grateful for the bitchers because when enough of them finally get enough of Prince and drop him altogether, that means a lot less sales and when the sales drop enough, then that's the end of his career.

Ands, I luh u like a 3 piece catfish dinner, but that shit is just off lol. I understand where you are coming from but it aint that simple. You missing out a lot of dynamics.

I don't see myself as being in this category (spoilt and ungrateful) but I do think that a lot of fans are and I am concerned that your theory is right that Prince is taking a breather as a bit of an 'F You / No More Candy 4 U to fans for complaining about his last efforts.

He's probably just thinking that whatever he comes up with people will get negative and he's probably right. There are too many haters who don't think about the effects of their comments before they write.

I can see why ppl were frustrated with 2OTEN, I was one of those too as I felt it didn't really do him justice, especially as I saw Lotusflow3r and MPLSound as a kind of return to form.

However, I and many others can only say this because being long term fans, we know what he is capable of and I know he can make a killer album if again if he puts his mind and effort to it...

So I hope these words are of positive encouragement and he comes back with more!!! wink

In these uncertain times and in this seemingly musical drought in general we need him more than ever.....

I feel he will come back with something soon, he's just planning his next move, perhaps with a return to Internet based distribution.....

Exactly. How many 'meals' have the people bashed at first taste then years later changed their minds and labeled it 'fine cuisine'? Music ain't hamburger!

When eye go 2 a Prince concert or related event it's all heart up in the house but when eye log onto this site and the miasma of bitchiness is completely overwhelming!

Fact is that there's not enough quality control as far as his output is concerned for decades now. It's about fucking time that he tries to reflect on this. If not, I don't think that there'll ever be another great Prince album in the future anymore. Which actually would be a pity considering his enormous talent.
