City Lights vol. 5 taken from 4DaFunk? Is the March 1986 First Avenue show on Sabotage's City Lights Remastered vol. 5 discs 1-2 the same recording as the 4DaFunk release of that show? I found old threads in which this was discussed before CLR5 came out, but I'm wondering if this has been confirmed. Is the 4DaFunk release different in sound quality in any way? I don't think it has been confirmed but they sure sound the same to me. A free recording turning up on a pressed disc is nothing new and has been done countless times.

You can almost guarantee that when Sab or eye re-presses something and claims a new source, it has already been released for free from a fan label. Thats why I don't buy boots anymore, I have almost everything released (my collection is massive) up until 2008 but stopped once I realized what was going on. F@ck them.

Thanks! I have CL5 but was wondering whether I needed 4DaFunk's release. "Drop that stereo before I blow your Goddamn nuts off, asshole!"

You need ALL 4DF releases.

I know. But I'm afraid of downloading. "Drop that stereo before I blow your Goddamn nuts off, asshole!"

I understand your apprehension regarding downloading, it can seem a daunting process to the beginner, but it really is a simple and efficient means of obtaining these recordings...and for free. Still, it's your money.

You're afraid of downloading, but you're cool with shellin' out bucks for pressed discs??

Yes. I got more than enough bucks. "Drop that stereo before I blow your Goddamn nuts off, asshole!"

^It's great that you're rich. But even so, I would think twice before giving my money to wankers who steal the work of fans and profit from it.
Afraid of downloads? Last time I checked they didn't bite...

Yeah, I was just sort of making that shit up. I have a comfortable income, but I'm by no means rich. I'm just clueless about what things to trust on the web. I guess I'm transferring my risk, akin to purchasing an insurance policy. Sort of. "Drop that stereo before I blow your Goddamn nuts off, asshole!"

There is a growing problem with some of the file sharing websites having too many links to spam websites and files that don't contain the music we're looking for. I think this may be related to the big file sharing websites being shut down recently.
I think wetransfer.com is a great site, even though its links expire after two weeks. No distracting links to spam stuff. The Census Bureau estimates that there are 2,518 American Indians and Alaska Natives currently living in the city of Long Beach.
