I agree Fly,what we do to animals has always upset me. The vast majority of food i eat now is vegetarian.I eat farm raised chicken every so often & farm raised lamb very occaisonaly - i intend to cut these out too eventually. "We just let people talk & say whatever they want 2 say. 9 times out of 10, trust me, what's out there now, I wouldn't give nary one of these folks the time of day. That's why I don't say anything back, because there's so much that's wrong" - P, Dec '15

B-12. Correction: there are many plant sources of fatty acids but B-12 complex is necessary for the synthesis of those fatty acids. The few plant foods that are sources of B12 are actually B12 analogs, which are substances that block the uptake of true B12, so your body's need for the nutrient actually increases. B-12 is also the largest vitamin and incredibly hard to absorb from supplements, making supplements almost completely useless. Useful vitamin B12 complex is found exclusively in animal tissues. Some symptoms of deficiency: apathy, memory loss, fatigue, mood swings, anemia This is what vegan health website will tell you about this. http://www.veganhealth.org/b12/mol Is it helpful? Do you understand it? I would say for the layman this information is confusing and would seem to be written in a different language and I think there's a reason for that. Well, it supports my point. And I am not bound my ethical or economical obligations to try to make this point. Really, I don't care what people do to their own bodies. Yes, Prince. If we got married that WOULD be cool.

In George Lopez show he said clearly that he is a vegetarian, so this means NO meat of any sorts - this is the definition of vegetarianism. Interesting how some people think that when Prince told he is a vegetarian then he admits at the same time he eats meat He is not a vegan anymore, but this is another story. Vegans do not eat any eggs, dairy, honey

he said on ?lopez he doesn't eat red meat, so i took that as meaning he probably eats stuff like chicken & fish.. anyway to hell with the meat!!
paloma faith was interviewed the other day.. she said when they met he offered her lemon drizzle cake which is obviously a vegetarian choice. the interviewer said she found the idea of prince's lemony drizzle appealing & she wanted the recipe.

So the vegan website was too scientific for you and you assume it suppports your point because it is too confusing. There is an advert in Australia with actor Sam Neill for red meat with an orangutang and he talks to it saying that human ancestors ate red meat and that caused our brains to increase and that is why we evolved! I suppose you agree with the 'scientific' theory behind this. This myth has been debunked and is just dumbing down the population to justify the farming and killing of animals.

No. You made up that first point and i don't know why. I didn't say it was too scientific for me and I didn't say I was confused. I understand it and and I am not confused. I said it seemed intentionally confusing for someone who isn't accustomed to the terminology. I am not interested in the killing of animals. You don't have to kill an animal to have a damn egg. I have chickens in my backyard and they're doing just fine.
Just to be clear: the evidence you're citing to make your point is.... a commercial and......quotation marks around the word "science"? Yes, Prince. If we got married that WOULD be cool.

Talk about touchy....
The thread started as prince eating meat and whether he was vegetarian. It has been pretty much being confirmed that he tried veganism and resorted back to vegetrianism. As we know vegans do not eat more than just meat. Vegetarians eat dairy, eggs etc all which are good sources of B12.
In my disbelief at your original post, I overlooked that you probably meant vegans and not vegetarians. I'm sure you know vegetarians eat dairy, eggs etc and would have no problems getting enough B12.
Even vegans these days with fortification of cereals, soy products etc can get more than enough B12.
Sorry if I unintentionally insulted your intelligence. Being a Prince fan I automatically assume you must have at least an average intelligence!

Don't even get me started on soy!! Kidding. (Not really.) But I think we can all agree we've hijacked the thread for long enough! Yes, Prince. If we got married that WOULD be cool.

Yes, I know what a vegan is. I've been a raw vegan before, and quite enjoyed it.
I don't think Prince said he was vegitarian at all. Didn't Lopez say those words? Prince said, "I Don't touch red meat though." implying that he ate meat.

Seventh-Day Adventists strive to be, and/or are encouraged to be, vegetarian. That's why the SDA church sells a line of vegetarian food products. There is no McDonalds, or any fast food restaurant, in the city of Loma Linda, CA, where the largest SDA hospital and large SDA congregation are located. Coincidentally, Loma Linda, CA residents have one of the longest lifespans in the world, with a large number of centenarians. Let's hope Prince gets to be at least 100 years old one day too!
However, SDAs generally do not shame nor shun people who are not strictly vegetarian; moreover, they generally do not shame nor shun anyone for "breaking" any beliefs (unlike JWs??). The SDA church is a big lobbyist around the world for "religious freedom." From the official website adventist.org: "The Adventist church is committed to the principle meaning of religious freedom: The differences in religions, throughout the world, should be respected. What we choose to believe and how we choose to worship should be according to the dictates of our conscience."
As to their dietary practices, this again from the official website: "It also means that because our bodies are the temples of the Holy Spirit, we are to care for them intelligently. Along with adequate exercise and rest, we are to adopt the most healthful diet possible and abstain from the unclean foods identified in the Scriptures. Since alcoholic beverages, tobacco, and the irresponsible use of drugs and narcotics are harmful to our bodies, we are to abstain from them as well. Instead, we are to engage in whatever brings our thoughts and bodies into the discipline of Christ, who desires our wholesomeness, joy, and goodness."
The "unclean foods identified in the Scriptues" refers to the foods that Jews and Muslims, as religions based on "the word," also avoid - that means, non-kosher red meats, pork, shellfish, invertebrates.
Hope this clarifies things! Have a nice day!
I was at the Loma Linda Behavioral Health Center...which is run by an SDA organization. They dint serve pork or red meat or something like that there. The Kaiser Permanente representative said something about having to make an agreement with them about allowing certain meat items in the menu for the wards that Kaiser contracted for. These 2 wards were the only ones that got these meat items.... This all completely coincides with your statements.

Jesus was not a vegetarian. The Bible records Jesus eating fish (Luke 24:42-43) and lamb (Luke 22:8-15). Jesus miraculously fed the crowds fish and bread, a strange thing for Him to do if He was a vegetarian (Matthew 14:17-21). In a vision to the apostle Peter, Jesus declared all foods to be clean, including animals (Acts 10:10-15). After the flood in Noah's time, God gave humanity permission to eat meat (Genesis 9:2-3). God has never rescinded this permission. I'M NOT SAYING YOU'RE UGLY. YOU JUST HAVE BAD LUCK WHEN IT COMES TO MIRRORS AND SUNLIGHT!

are you talkin bout the same jesus thats always pettin lil lambs?
what part of thou shall not kill don't you understand?
"But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat. And surely your blood of your lives will I require; at the hand of every beast will I require it." (Genesis 9.4-5)
"To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices unto me? Saith the Lord: I am full of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of goats. When ye spread forth your hands, I will hide Mine eyes from you: yea, when ye make many prayers, I will not hear, for your hands are full of blood." (Isaiah 1.11,15)
"It shall be a perpetual statute for your generations throughout all your dwellings, that ye eat neither fat nor blood. (Leviticus 3.17). . . And whatsoever man there be of the house of Israel, or of strangers who sojourn among you, that eateth any manner of blood; I will even set My face against that soul that eateth blood." (Leviticus 17.10)
Exodus (20.13) in the Hebrew lo tirtzach, which, when accurately translated, means "thou shalt not kill."
"He that killeth an ox is as if he slew a man." (Isaiah 66.3)
Genesis (1.29) clearly states: "And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is on the face of all the earth, and every tree, in which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat."
Romans 14:21
Daniel 1:11-16 Jesus was against animal sacrifice. He quoted Hosea 6:6, saying "For I desire mercy, not sacrifice, and acknowledgment of God rather than burnt offerings."

Okayy??? People forget the bible is chronilogically out of order probably due to King James and whomever else had their hand in trying to keep some things in and some things out etc.
Allz i know is the bible say its ok to eat meat except them hooved varmants like pigs which makes sense becuse pig, though they taste yummy, have crap diets and therefore result in us humans having crappy diets.
Lamb is good though and so is salmon, trout, farm raised chickens, wild turkey, cows that eat grass only and other critters that escape me at the moment.
All seed aint good seed. We can't eat poison ivy or certain mushrooms and weed, though high on my list of herbs, can make you if you consume too much for too long a period.
Honestly I don't give a frack about Prince being vegetarian as it makes him too damn skinny. His man milk taste good though. That's a direct result of vegetenariasm (sp). I'M NOT SAYING YOU'RE UGLY. YOU JUST HAVE BAD LUCK WHEN IT COMES TO MIRRORS AND SUNLIGHT!
