Everyone seems to think Prince is playing guitar on his father's little EP from back in the day. I can understand the confusion as Prince happens to be a Gemini and he used to like to blather on about zodiac horse-dung and use fake names, but Gemini is a totally different dude. Also "everyone"? Not too many people know about this record and I doubt it was in any of his biographies so I don't know where you got that from.

Naturally I meant people who know about the album or EP or whatever it is. I'd never heard of the record until yesterday, but I somehow rabbit-trailoed onto some post about it and everyone there was talking about how it kind of sucked BUT Prince played on it so hardcore types needed to get it. That's all.

In my opinion, there´s no need to poke fun at Steakfinger because I remember very well how many people in the Prince fan community speculated on whether Prince did in fact play guitar on this EP or not, and yes, the name Gemini was considered a hint at that.

It took a few years for this myth to be debunked.

I liked that album way back in the day when I first heard it and I still like it to this day. I would´ve preferred it without any vocals at all but the playing on it is quite interesting.

Actually, I´m not sure whether there was any solid proof or consent here or elsewhere that Gemini was NOT Prince. It´s still up in the air as far as I know. So, you might have found some interesting info there.

I capitalized NOT so people would see it since reading comprehension doesn't seem to be big here at the org. It wasn't capitalized to denote excitement. Calm down, everyone.

Well, now that I have seen these pics, I can sure believe that Gemini is not Prince. But still, considering that Prince used the name "Gemini" on the Batman album...who knows?

I guess someone could ask Sharon Nelson.
