Sales receipt from the New Power Generation Store in Minneapolis, MN., USA. for the midnight release of "The Gold Experience" album on September 26th, 1995 at 1:02 AM. I don't remember what the Gold Phone Card was and the "I Hate U" T-Shirt went to the girlfriend I was seeing at the time.

I remember having a fun time that night waiting in queue with all of the other peeps eagerly anticipating the release of the album that was never to be released. '93 to '99 - That was a fun MPLS/NPG era for me. Prince sightings at the NPG Store. Spur of the moment Paisley Park dance parties and concerts. Glam Slam after parties. Paisley Park Celebration events. Good times... Funky times.

That receipt is very cool. It sounds like that was the best time (and place) to be a Prince fan. Wish I could have been there.

That's pretty cool! I shoulda kept all that crap when I had it.

One thing I really regret not keeping was the first NPG Store catalog. Man, I spent hours looking at that thing.

That's 74 dolla's in 1994! Back then you could have bought 100 gallons of gas. Today 74 bucks will get you 20 gallons if you're lucky. And you spent it on misc Prince stuff. LOL Imagine 74 dollars parked in Apple stock. On Feb 10, 1994 74 bucks would have bought you 8 shares of Apple. You could have sold your Apple shares today at 579 bucks a share, went on ebay, bought all that junk from this receipt and still had $4,000 to snort coke off stripper's asses with
