Prince only gets high off music. That is why he named his tour W2A. So he can play on stages all over America the rest of his life & expose us more 2 his "Masterpieces"....
Please stop. You're embarrassing yourself.

Jamie Shoop was the intended lead singer of The Hookers....until Vanity came along.Could that be Jamie in those pics? |

This sounds like an interesting project, but maybe it's a good thing that it wasn't released back then.We may not have gotten the Purple Rain film.Prince did the right thing by waiting a few more years before doing a movie.
He should have released it like a mini movie video and beat Michael Jackson to the Punch
maybe it could have featured: Sexuality Tick Tick Bang Let's Work, Private Joy & Do Me Baby
Yes he should have. And chucked the controversy music video in somewhere.
For me this is the best Prince era, not the best album, but it was him when he was still "hungry", but had refined his show and music to the point where he could display that hunger without hurting the actual performance (as fun as the DM tour masturbation is too watch, the actual sound wasn't great).
The 1999 tour was awesome, but there is a difference between a semi-underground RnB artist and a semi-superstar. |

Sorry if you believe that alcohol is a safe drug and all others are not. You are wrong.
Alcohol kills people every day. Prescription drugs like pain killers kill people every day.
Marijuana, which Prince is high on in the pictures above, NEVER killed one person in the history of mankind. This is a FACT.
Marijuana is the safest and most natural drug that anyone can get high on. Oh yeah, it's medicine too. Get with the 21 Century, will ya?
There is no doubt in my mind that if my uncle didn't try weed he wouldn't be dead. For people with addictive personalities, once they permanently deaden the receptors that weed numbs to get that high feeling they need something heavier to get that same high. |

I agree. That's what's so satisfying about this era (and the Dirty Mind era)...Prince was hungry back then! He had something to prove. This is when artists are extremely inspired, with alot of new ideas. |

Yes, those were the last of those times when you could really do that and it not be copycat, of course everyone get's a little something from everyone, but not much original stuff/ideas now
That period but even into 1988 was still so mysterious. No internet and media sources of such helped. There are shows and concerts still sought after from those times, images and footage that are 'secret' |

I think the reason people had so much attatchment to artists back in the day is that you had to invest time to find stuff out about them, instead of just googling their discography or youtubing you had to go to the record store and find their albums.
Nowadays everyone gets so much over exposure before they can get good enough to justify it. |
