What's on this VHS?

Hey guys.

I won this promo VHS on eBay. There's no run-time but judging by the amount of tape on the reel, it's definitely less than 20 minutes. It's called "Rave Un2 The Joy Fantastic - In His Own Words" and appears to be a promo sent out by the label, possibly to stores or TV channels in order to promote the release? I don't currently have a VCR so have no way of playing it, although I'm going to watch it at my cousins house soon.

Anyone else have this? If so can you describe exactly what's on it?

never heard of it but you can probably get a VCR from cash convertors or somewhere for a tenner. i could stick it on dvd for you if it's PAL. i can play NTSC but can't record it as it plays as PAL60

the days o wild is the npgmc online version of the cd with the edited version of the live track, as opposed to the original 1 track version given away at the last day of the last celly that came in a cd single jewel case

EDIT - in that slipcase it looks like it's an NTSC video as you don't normally get PAL videos in that type of packaging apart from the freebies from magazines

Yeah, it's from the US so it'll be NTSC. My cousin has a VCR that connects to the computer so if it's a good watch I'll rip it.

The Days Of Wild CD is only in the picture as they both arrived in the mail at the same time lol

I wonder if it's the interviews that were shown during the pay-per-view special before the concert aired?

If Im not mistaken, parts of this video was aired on BET back in 1999 on a show called "BET Out the Box" It shows an interview with Prince, though it doesnt show him being asked questions. He's wearing the Rave blue outfit, with braids and sunglasses. They would show Rave outtake photos with some of the music playing in the background, then they'll show a clip of Prince talking about the Rave album or the NPG. Some of the quotes I remember from this are "50/50 is a partnership...90/10 is employment" and "In this band I have Larry Graham on bass, Maceo Parker on sax, the baddest horn section since Tower of Power, and then there is,of course,Me..." The footage BET showed might have been clips from that VHS.

Yeah, the very first DVD of this series was unnamed, then the second DVD in the series was named Vol.1 and so on...

aye, that makes sense rolleyes

i just checked the first disc and i remember it now as it's fucking brilliant quality for some of the oldest rarest stuff. i must have ignored the rest of the series as it was duplicates of stuff i already had. i have the rave tv broadcast on vhs so maybe the interview is on that. i think the tv broadcast was slightly different to the dvd

There was a similar interview broadcast on the BBC (some BBC t-time show years ago), it was a 20 odd min interview with Prince, he had on a dark purple jacket with a white furry collar, the hair in braids and huge fly eye sunglasses, Larry was mooching in the background.

It's on one of those TV Appearances DVD's, can't remember which though.

Before I read the actual title on the VHS. I thought it was the Rave concert. lol

I thought I was the only one who looked at stuff on VHS still. LMAO.

Wears Four Inch Stilleto Boots.

Who Changes His Name Back From An Unpronouncable Symbol.
Oh And Most Importantly, Who Is Sexy Little Drop Of Butterscotch
