I know that many almost all of them (songs from albums like NPS or GF) are hated by fans. As you can see there are only songs from 90's and 00's. I think these periods are underrated. I guess I will be .org's fall-guy, beacause I really dig new version of Extraloveable.

I feel like his "worst" songs fall into the interesting catagory, but I can understand why some people would hate on them, they're either generic, comical or strange, although I wonder whether it's prince's intention to record "bad" songs and wait for the criticism to come rolling in, although not always the case, people have different tastes...

The thing is with Prince his weaker songs I can still listen to, compare them to other artists of today his weaker songs would be pretty damn good if someone else were to record them, which in the past has been the case (aka, sinead o'connor, chaka khan)

I really like "Strays of the World", in my opionion , it is a fantastic song. The old NPG seems to like it a lot, too ( at least Morris Hayes really likes it, and I think Michael Bland likes it, too).

It should have been on the Come album as the last song because it would´ve been a perfect ending for that album. I know it was planned as such but for some reason, Prince changed his mind.

The way this song builds up, the heavy bass and drums (the NPG powerhouse Michael B. and Sonny), the way Prince sings the heartfelt lyrics make this song a true gem....such an underrated song that would´ve fit perfectly into the whole "Come" concept.

It is probably the only "bombastic" song that I like ( Three Chains of Gold and Planet Earth being the two other one....can´t stand them ) . But Strays of the World is pure magic.

I´d love to hear the original demo version that Prince recorded in Paris on his own, the version that Morris mentioned more than a decade ago.

I like the lyrics, the music, the vocals...it´s just one of my favorite songs that is best listened to very loud and all by yourself...not really the kind of song you want to listen to while you have company.

The released studio cut of "Strays" sounds a lot like the same tones and effects as "Dolphin" like they were cut in the same session.

Those songs just didnt hook me with their melody or lyrics and sounded generic to me in production when I first listened to the CD. I haven't listened to them since the 90's.

I can understand that different things trigger different "likes" in people based on an entire history of what they liked before.

I'll pop the album in and give it all a listen. It's been YEARS! But the two I did like, I liked from day one. They both seem different from anything he had done and also seemed creative.

My history is quite uplifiting and resonating which is why I love ti so much, but I have always loved the ones you mentioned.

I totally agree! I love that song, but it seems like almost everyone on the org and internet fan community enjoys really dissing it. It's perplexing to me because it has a very similar sound to "Adore", which everyone goes apeshat crazy about.

There's a very fine line between loving & hating his songs going on!

The whole Rave album except Prettyman, a lot of people overlook it and why, theres so much more to this album. Just because Prince and Clive lost interest when it wasn't a huge hit, dosen't mean its bad. Everyday is a winding road is a true highlight
