And to add to the thread, Paisley Park (original and extended) very much thrill me. That jam is very much midwest summer music. Too bad I don't have a car, I would bump that shit relentlessly, wierd looks endured and all.

That whole album is summery.

A couple years ago, I was walking up the 9th fairway on a course in Madison and heard somebody blasting Around The World In A Day (the song) at a stoplight. Now, you know they were playing the album, because there's no way that came on the radio. lol

I was so distracted, I missed my putt. mad

We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

Something In The Water

For me it's Something In The Water from the First Avenue Soundboard - it's like a Pink Floyd jam when Gilmour does his deep funk. Love it.

For me the 1999 version and the 1984 Warehouse REHEARSAL for that one you mentioned that happened later that night..the actual audience performance wasn't as heated as the rehearsal imo.

WinterIsComing

For me it's "She's always in my hair". As soon as I hear those flange drums and that keyboard swirl give way to the guitars.."Watch out"! lol

Most things that I worry about, never happen anyway

Pretty much most of his music does (still). But I tend to play songs over for instant replay like WILMHOU live montreux version, When You Were Mine ONA version (Almost any version really.), Nothing Compares 2 U ONA version, all tend to get a lot of lets just play that one more time (again & again.).

99.9% of everything I say is strictly for my own entertainment

In the rehearsal he sure gets a better Strat sound - but I think the mix I have doesn't pick up so much bass unfortunately. Will have to take another listen.
