Prince Music Videos Hello all, I am trying to find a good collection of Prince's music Videos. I am a visual person and have most of his records and cd's but would like to add Music video to my collection without buying a lot of different DVD sets. Can anyone help me?

For early music videos, you need this http://main.thedigitalgar...vol-1.html 15 videos, all taken from in house WB tapes so quality is amazing. This could not be bettered if it were officially released. Click the "Tracks & Review" tab for more info.

That's a great-looking set! But does Baby I'm a Star really come before I Would Die 4 U on there, or is that a typo?

I can't remember, not watched it in a long time, but does it matter? Quality is what matters.
Vol II is fantastic too.

I was just wondering because the two songs segue together.

I'd have to check the video and right now I can't be arsed. Sorry.

Ha! Naw, I'm sure it's just a mistake.

My suggestion is the two PTV discs from Fullasoul...

It's not, I checked. The videos for BIAS and IWD4U are from live performances on the PR tour so they don't flow like on the album.

Can't go wrong there Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name

For the download shy, yes, it's good. It could however, have been so much better. It could easily have been two discs, or even more videos added to the single disc. It only runs to 60 mins as it is. Even as it was originally before it got a dvd release, it could have had more on the VHS tape than an hour. As usual, the fans have come to the rescue with releases such as the mentioned PTV dvd's. The best things in life are free.

Interesting. What show are the videos from? I have quite a few Purple Rain shows and the set list pretty much never changed, other than adding or taking away a song here and there. I Would Die 4 U always came before Baby I'm A Star, on the shows I have. TRUE BLUE

Yes IWD4U usually came before Baby I'm A Star on the tour, and on the album, but on this release they don't, it's not a mistake or anything, it's just the order in which the makers of this collection decided on. Simple as.
People should get the two volumes, they really are great.
@ motherfunka. Baby... and IWD4U were filmed at Landover MD USA, Nov '84.

See that's weird though, because they run together (IWD4U/BIAS). When I mentioned the Purple Rain blu-ray above, I should have clarified I meant the videos section of the special features. That's how they are: IWD4U segues directly into BIAS. The very same videos I watched on tv back in the day.
Seems like it would've taken more work to split the clip in half and reverse the order. Weird!

I see your point, but I can't explain it. I don't know why it was decided on it being that way.
Luckily the running order does not detract too much from the performances, which are electric.

Ah, I get it. I thought you meant that was the order they were played in the show. TRUE BLUE
