I liked this one. I wonder how Tamars album is coming along.
I am actually looking forward to her album, I think she is talented, unfortunately things were not in the cards for her and Prince for whatever reason. Thanks Nursev for the thread, cuz now I can't get the chorus out of my head. In my head, I keep singing Beautiful, Loved & Blessed in my Tamar voice. I definitely think it is a Tamar song and not a Prince song, he took a backseat on this as far as vocals go. And he probably included it on his album because he believed in Tamar and the songand wanted to give her another avenue for her voice to be heard.
What album? She released one a year ago, which can be heard in full, legally here (if spotify is available in your country):
Tamar Davis – My Name is Tamar
Or is there something else due out that I don't know of? blah blah blah |

Agreed, but I think it doesn't get discussed because of it's meaning
Absolutely untrue. I don't think anyone has a problem with its meaning. In fact, it has very little meaning. The song is about someone learning to realize their imagined value perhaps with the help of a fictional creator. What's the big deal? There are a million song just like it. It doesn't get dicussed because there isn't much to discuss about it. What is so controversial? It's about nothing but some Stuart Small shit. "I love myself. I AM good enough. I don't have to take responsibility for my actions because if it's good, my GOD gets the glory and if it's bad Satan made m do it." It a pleasant little tune and it's uplifting to those who can't lift themselves up. Big whoop.

I liked it from first listen. The lyrics are something I can relate to completely, like a page out of my life. |

I've always liked this song, a jamming inspirational I feel it conveys a message of what it takes to feel free, that we shouldn't worry about what others think so much.
Others don't always know the facts or our the truth in our hearts This song sounds like acceptance and knowledge that we're Loved and Blessed Each and EveryDay regardless. |

the best bit is the guitar solo and onwards. i love the climbing solo with its effects and the acoustic funky guitar adding bits inbetween. then it finishes with the usual funky jam in the dorian mode. |
