I wanted to vote for Prince, but The Beatles are unmatched. And the way the music biz is going, I doubt anyone will ever coming close. But Prince is a solid second. | |

Sorry but OH HELL TO THE NAW! Prince is NOT the GREATEST ARTIST of the last 60 years!!! And some of the other names on that list are so utterly LAUGHABLE, I'm not going to even waste the energy of voting! I knew from the start that I loved you with all my heart. | |

as i feel his individuality and musical output is second to none.
Look at the comments section. A shitload of people are voting for Freddie.
Michael Jackson being the second most voted for.

My how the NME has fallen. Once one of the most respected music papers in the UK, now a comic for fans of sludge pop. Still, whatever sells copies.

Actually, Prince has matched The Beatles...
He is the only artist or band to have the top movie, top single, and top album at the same time, other than The Beatles. "He's a musician's musician..." |

Yep, it really has been a terrible rag this last 15 or so years. They just keep championing the obvious; every indie boys wet dream - the miserable waif Lana Del Ray, the token new black act; the atrociously messy sounding Azealia Banks, and the usual plodding dinosaur i.e. paul Weller. But, at least there now seems to be a Prince fan there; Priya Elan, one of its contributors, often writes positively about Prince. | |

I voted for Prince, and while he shouldnt' win, he should be in the top 10 or so. How did they completely forget to list Barry Gibb, who also should be top 10 or so. |
