exodus is a great album, but would have been better with the long version of hallucination rain, one of his best moments. they can get the segues to fuck to make space for that track if necessary. too much farting about as was common with rap albums around that time. annoying as fuck after the second listen

the version of count the days on the g6 soundtrack is the same as the album version or single version, apart from the motherfucker bit edited on the single version. i can't remember if the g6 version is edited or not

Yeah, I didn't mean to sound like I was disregarding your comment. Just that I've heard that said before. In fact, I even think Ernest created some TGE/Come/Exodus hybrid compilation out there when he was doing these extended era-based albums*.

* He did a really awesome one for Parade and one for Purple Rain.

He was sometimes full of it. Tried telling me that Come/TGE/Exodus were all done at the same time and Prince just picked which songs he wanted on which album. Totally not true.

Anywho, I liked Exodus 10 times better than Goldnigga.

I can see I have a minority opinion but goddamn I love the segues. Between Mashed Potatoe Girl and New Power Day... I bust a gut every time. Songs are alright in my opinion, but I have to say the segues really do it for me on this album.
