As for Asians, it's not that big a deal that he hasn't been seen with an Asian girlfriend because he himself is not Asian. I don't think he's been seen with an Indian girlfriend either.

What causes the complaints is if he as a black man had never been seen with a black woman. Anytime there's a preception that a celeb is rejecting his own race there's going to be controversy, especially if the celeb is a black person who was poor and then rejects his own after he becomes rich and famous. But that's not the case with Prince because has had black girlfriends, they just haven't been as seen with him in public as much as his white and Latin girlfriends have.

It's part of the male psyche. When a man chooses a woman that he wants to be serious with, he is subsconsciously imagining the kind of children he would have with that woman.

Prince has made it clear what his preferences are in this regard. He wants black children, but he doesn't want them to be "too" black, hence he chooses mocha Latinas and mulatto blacks. Mani is light brownish, but she is not so dark that their children would have features and hair that is too negroid for Prince's taste.
