Prince at Common Eryka Badu Grammy Afterparty! Hey all. My co-worker just informed me that Prince was at the Common/Eryka Badu Grammy Afterparty at BB King's. Apparently he was there with Mani (and he had her sitting on his lap for part of the night). I'm not sure if he performed but I'll get the scoop and fill you all in later.

Okay, so he didn't perform at the party, despite the other artists in attendance request. So while I missed a P sighting, I did not miss a P performance. | |

Who performed: Common, Eryka Badu, Raphael Sadiiq (sp?), The Roots, India Aire, um...
Who was there: Alicia Keys, members of the Goodie Mobb, um... I suspect that because it was a Common/Badu party all the other "neo-soul" affiliates were there too. | |

I was there and the performers were Erykah, Common, Musiq, Meshell N'degeocello on bass, Questlove on drums, Jaguar Wright, Jill Scott, Raphel Saddiq, a guy from the Nappy Roots, Floetry, Bilal, India Arie, Roy Hargrove. That's all I can think of right now.

How many of you saw Eriku on the Grammy's? She kept messing up saying she missed rehearsal and couldn't see the teleprompter. What was that all about? | |

I didn't watch the show, but I hear that India.Arie finally won two Grammys. Did anyone see her acceptance speeches? I think it took backbone and class to even show up after last year.

She did win twice. But unfortunately for her, both of her categories were announced before the show went on the air. Peace, David | |
