I don't know about clarify; there's no way it says "parking stoppage" - "bargains over here" all the way.
The question is why did he use it? Church Organ -> Bargains -> Relationship Frustration. Not that it ever bothered me. | |

I think it was part of an earlier concept to turn Sign into a rock and roll type movie. Prince had created the album against the back drop of urban moral decay. I think he taped of those samples for his abandoned Coco Boys project (I could be wrong), an earlier form of Graffiti Bridge where the two groups competed in a post modernist version of urban hell. Some of the samples your hear on Lovesexy too like between Eye No and Alphabet Street, "My name is Andre Crabtree the third and I have more holes than a golfcourse". It was this loose scatalogical freaks on street, pimps, hustlers, hos and all that shit. Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name | |
