I do think Andy was doing something musically before Prince fell 4 her, so I'm going to give her that. the fact that she isn't better on the guitar but in the band bothers me, maybe it's time 2 end that NPG funk and prince try something more different piano Prince+2 guitarists, full percussion instruments and less drum, string instruments violins etc flutes bass I don't know maybe he needs to try something more drastic that could probably get him to play different music instead of catering to "the Old Soul tunes" all the time

Very, very well said. He may be testing the waters to see if his ideas work well in trying out these new ideas on Andy. He's obviously constantly looking for ideas, so he may be into something with his own projects, albums etc...

So, yeah Andy is 4 testing water 4 his on album ideas, i am glad some of us noticed that, and she is not the real deal. it woulda been a shame if this is the ultima funk ideas he had to offer specially in consideration of someone not very talented.

You are right about the money! So I assume this andy project is not aimed directly 2 Prince fans as a target, it's a side project that I can skip, which i will anywAY. Its money and also yes he is targeting his already old skool Prince fan base and he is missing out potential to attract his younger hipsters who got buying power and tend to open to listen to music from a generation or two before them. Keep in mind their taste is different from my generation and their generation and maybe Prince should not only test but seeking new demographics with his style of music. Oh well more opportunites for acts like the Rolling Stones, Madonna,say what yall want to say about them but they tend to know how to communicate with the younger generation. The people wondered and get shocked when an average late 80s and 90s babies have a disconnection toward Prince.

I never said this is going to be the best funk record but the song is early 70s style of fun which People Pleaser is cute and funky but overall I wont be jamming repeatly since I wasnt much a fan of early 70s funk but I enjoyed late 70s and early 80s funk because its mix with disco a bit and its easier to dance to.

Yes, but them women can't affect Prince, but his actions affect their lives, so Prince is using them. The ones in power will always have the power, this is how things are. They are affected by his fame, money and everything, it's like dreamland, otherwise why u think they all do whatever he says? Exactly!!! Age ain't nothing but a number when you are trying to become rich and famous, especially on someone else's dime. I guess we will have to wait and see what Prince and Andy have in store for us this summer, either way, I am not going to loose any sleep over a Prince protege.

Off course she is young but she is very know on the internet and can read so I still think she knows what she is doing and make her choise.

I'm not sure what you're on about. What's it been, 15-20 posts ranting about how her music isn't funky? It might or might not be, we haven't heard the album yet. And even if it's not, so what? Whatever makes him happy in his twilight years is ok with me.Prince can pass the time away until he can have full ownership of all his past masterpieces. Andy makes him happy. The 3 songs featuring Prince are going to make every fan cop this CD in whatever manner they deem acceptable. No fan is going to let 3 Prince tracks float by them without collecting them even if they never give them a second listen. So sad because the song which she originally wrote and was as boring as she is, was made into a great great funky song by Prince, the NPG and Maceo Parker. I am going to have to disagree with this statement. Prince is Prince and he is going to do what he wants to do, one of the many reasons why I like him (he is kind of polarizing in a way). He loves women and he likes to be their Knight in shining armour, if you will. With Andy, I think he really believes in her singing abilities (like I said b4, I can take her voice in small doses) and he knows how tough the music scene, so if he can give her the exposure/mentoring/financial backing and also get his music out there, then thats what he is going to do. I don't think he does any of this out of desperation though, imo.

Umm...NO! Just tired of spending money on folks who can't sing hoping that because they were affiliated with Prince that they had talent-not so. I must say that I did like Bria's album. It's a shame that it wasn't promoted and he didn't allow her to sing live cuz the album was good. So no-no one is jealous of Andy
