I am so hard trying to like this woman's voice, but I just can't. I think she simply can't sing, she'd be good as his background singer, but she is nowhere good enough to have a promo as the next big thing, she is like Carmen Electra but even not good like Bria, Tamar or Rosie.

The music is all Prince's, and yet we have this woman's voice all over it, which is really confusing. The other thing which is extremely bothering me is that apparently she is funky? Funk where? Has she been doing funk prior to being in NPG? Hell no! Either you are funky or you are not, it's really simple. And now she is funky or what?

Prince ought to know better than this, and this is an insult to people who love funk. I can't believe he's degrading it so much.

I am inclined to think he's experimenting and using her to get the music out which he wouldn't even dare on his own album, so kinda like leftover shit music.

This woman's voice is a disgrace to anybody who seriously loves funk. It's like turning somebody unfunky to make believe you are funky, so I even hate to see her posting funk all over the place. It's all bullshit.

My reaction to the sample is the same reaction I had to the FDeluxe cd. meh. I will wait to hear more of the cd though.

I'm having second thoughts about this album. Assuming it will be released that is, it's going to be on NPG Records, which more than likely means that it will not stay in print for long (quite possibly for however long Prince remains interested in the project). So If I buy a few copies now, I will (theoretically) be able to sell them in years to come for mountains of cash.

I was thinking maybe we are so used to Prince's own vocals, so we kinda think it's weird to listen to somebody's else voice on Prince music?! It really depends how much you associate Prince with funk. Some people like the funk, but also prefer his jazzy, or other genres. I think for them Andy is good, but if you are a very serious funketerr, this shit is an insult.

We are accepting Andy, cause we love Prince, but I am not gonna support Andy on the basis she is funky, if she isn't. If she would create her own style, I'd buy that, but she has such an unfunky voice, it's unbelievable.
