ANDY ALLO's 2nd CD entitled "Superconductor" will be released early this summer. The CD contains 6 self-penned tracks and 3 songs co-written with Prince. The 3 songs written with Prince are "Superconductor", "The Calm", and "Gone". Special guests on the CD so far include Maceo Parker, Trombone Shorty, The NPG, The Hornheadz and of course-PRINCE, who also executive produced the record. The CD is in the final stages of post-production but we have a sample provided to us exclusively by Miss Allo-herself of one of the songs Prince featured on his most recent tour of Europe.

That sounds really great! Let's hope the rest of the album is just as good. I have mixed feelings though. I would have liked to see Andy blossom independently of Prince. She had so much potential with her first release. But, who knows? Maybe the Prince protegee curse will be broken with Andy. | |

Very funky, although the chorus doesn't pop. It makes me interested in what the album will sound like. I really like her cover of We Can Funk and some of her solo acoustic stuff is cool. I was worried that a funked up Prince sound wouldn't suit her, but so far the groove & her voice are working.

Excellent stuff. I viewed the Coming Soon teaser on Andy's fb page this morning and thought Superconductor was a cool name and sounded good.

This will be the very first Prince releated music that I don't bother buying. Andy does not interest me and nor does this album. I still think she looks good, but that's not enough for me to want this.

Eh? Her voice is fine. And, other than the delay in the chorus there doesn't seem to be much "effecting" going on..... ...we have only scratched the surface of what the mind can do...
