Just a few off the top of my head:

he's never done a reality show

he's never written a book

he's never admitted to be being wrong about something

That's why you don't seem to be an artist.

Artists are not that closeminded to think that there isn't anything on this planet they haven't done before. To the contrary they feel they don't have enough time to make their ideas reality.

One thing he has not done, and Prince please do not be upset with me for xpressing my truth, is really allow another peer to "produce" his sounds.

As this post rightly highlights, Prince has achieved most accolades, etc that up and coming artists are still working towards. Yet, the fact remains is he is a member of a community of practice, and I am speaking beyond Paisley Park and the NPG.

To suggest otherwise would mean that what his peers are doing with their own art is of no signficance to him. This is not true. We all know that Prince has a strong desire to be accepted and acknowledged by the music world. We, the fans, are also a part of this world.

So, why not allow allow a full album/release to be produced by someone else, with him sitting in the passenger seat, but allowing his voice and musical craft to, for once, be the xtensions of the vision of another?

I know Prince has given production credits here and there to others, but the context within which I reason is > could he do it? Could he allow the impossible?

I am an artist. That's why, after the usual jokers posted, I said:

The man has done EVERYTHING. The only things left to do are the things he can think up.

As Prince one said, his only competition is with himself.

Who would you like to see guide him.....my choice would be Sade's folks. I think it has been brought up b4, however I could never imagine him doing it....it's a pity because I think with the right person it would be magic.

So he's done it already. That's the point.

There are more than a few posts on this thread like yours. "Prince hasn't done X since..." That proves my point. He DID it already.

I didn't ask, "What has Prince not done in a long time?!?" LOL.

I get where you're coming from, but I don't see that as something musically-related. That goes more towards his ego or character. Or maybe it's just that I don't want him to do it. But I see your point.

No. The Interactive game on CD-Rom was released in 1994. Peter Gabriel released his Xplora 1 game one year earlier for Mac and in early 1994 for Windows PCs.
