zydeco, opera, death metal, polka, Hawaiian, bluegrass, Gregorian chants, Chinese folk music, a non-music movie, fought Hulk Hogan, appeared on Sesame Street, done a chitlin' circuit tour, have a amusement park (ie. Dollywood), a video game, etc.

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

Nope, he had a video game, too! "Interactive". Thanks for reminding me!

Great topic. Prince has most certainly done a lot. He has had an incredible career and for me the fact that he went from the somewhat ridiculed has-been in the early 2000s to a rock and roll legend and elder statesmen over the last 7-8 years is one of his most remarkable achievements. As far as things he has not accomplished:

1) He has never successfully broken a rap artist despite many many attempts.

2) He has never directed a non-concert film that wasn't universally panned (time has been kinder to UTCM than to GB but both are universally loathed by non-Prince fans.

3) He has never been successfully produced by someone else (well, primarily because he won't let anyone but still...)

4) He has never told anyone what "the dawn" was (if he did I missed it)

Other than never apologizing for unleashing Carmen Electra onto the world, can't think of anything else.

All good things they say never last...

Think about this. Prince has done everything I can think of.

He's won every award there is to win in entertainment (except, I guess, a Tony but that's not in his future).

He's in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and has received Lifetime Achievement awards from several prominent organizations.

He's set every sales record possible in music.

He's played every single venue of note in the entire world (including the Super Bowl).

He's won awards for his internet sites (although most agree that his latest one was a trainwreck).

He's distributed music in every way I can think of, including giving it away at concerts.

He's done every kind of tour there is - arena, stadium, residencies, hit and run, small clubs.

He's played more aftershows than most artists have played regular concerts (well, that might be a little stretch but you get my point).

He's dueted with many great artists, and lots of not-so-great artists.

He's developed more proteges than anyone I can think of, and some of them became incredible successes.

He's had more songs covered by other artists that went to #1 or were very successful than anyone I can think of.

He's easily the most stylish rock star in history.

Now, I know some of you smarties are going to say stuff like, "He's never played in my living room!" but I can't stop that.

So for the serious among you, can you think of anything Prince has not accomplished?

and still, u get folk here at the org who have never even had their 10 minutes of fame, cannot sing, dance or play an instrument, but think they know what is best for Prince

nutty

Well then my response is "Prince hasn't kidnapped that person, tied them up and slapped them silly."

It will happen.

I would love to witness a musical featuring his music original and new.....I then want to see him pimp walk on the stage and snatch up the Tony......then when the show is done and they have the final curtain call I want to be seated front row dead center, and my man just comes out and blow us away with some over the top guitar driven song....he ends it......the place is silent cuz everyone will have the "Chris Tucker Friday face on" y'all know the wide out Daaaaammmmmn look, and the place explodes with Prince standing there with a smirk on his face like yeah I know. lol

I think this is a great idea, but didnt he try to do a musical before, Glam Slam Ulysses? It'd be fun if it was based on music from the eighties (Purple Rain, the Musical?).

Have u had your + sign today?

Adorecream

He hasn't toured New Zealand

Hasn't had a lasting marriage to a suitable person (At least 8 years to a person not chosen for looks or their youthful age and docile sex kitten nature)

Has not had a living child that has survived at least 5 years of life and developed normally

Has never said sorry

Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name
