Sexuality in Rainbow Children one of my faves I think that album is a fantastic Musical. It's incredible listening to (track)Rainbow Children, and just wanted to know if there are any more little pieces from older songs. Because in Rainbow children there's that little' leaders stand up organize, thing', soOoo like what are some others not necesarily in thi album but recent ones 2000-> that have little pieces from old songs I've seen quite a few what about u guys? is Sexy. Many of the vocal effects use the same echo giving it a Purple Rain vibe. The bass line in "Everlasting Now," is identical to the Rod Temperton written, and Michael Jackson performed "Burn This Disco Out."

Rainbow Children is nothing like a Michael Jackson album. It's garbage. Sorry but I couldn't get into it no matter how many times I tried. It's a great title and I wanted to enjoy it, but I just don't.

The Rainbow Children wipes its holy-rolling ass with Michael's last 3 albums.

I think the OP means things like "see you in the Purple Rain" in the song Emancipation for example. What are the more recent examples of Prince recycling lyrics for effect like he did with the "new breed leader stand up organise" thing in the song TRC? I must admit despite MPLSound and 20ten being purposefully retro Prince sound, I can't think of him doing it recently. Just somewhere in the middle,
Not too good and not too bad.

That last heavier part of "Last December" was lifted from the Gold era track "Rock 'n' Roll Is Alive (And It Lives in Minneapolis)".
Also, that synth part at the end of "Musicology" was taken from the end of the Emancipation track "My Computer"
I'm sure there's 80,000 more instances, but i can't seem to recall any others... . <3 Prince <3

Jackson was incapable of producing anything like The Rainbow Children. The evidence being he never did. Nor, I guess, did he ever want to.
So what's this thread about?

I love this album Prince's Sarah

I think the whole TRC and ONA era(s) were a fantastic time for prince fans - he was doing things his way - in a different way to back in the day - but certainly not chasing trends - and the associated more intimate live performances were amazing.
THIS is what i miss now coz it seems ever since musicology Prince is on an exclusively 'hits'/ chasing trends ride.
Sorr, slightly off topic......

Perfection.
Probably my favourite album. Fuck the funk - it's time to ditch the worn-out Vegas horns fills, pick up the geee-tar and finally ROCK THE MUTHA-FUCKER!! He hinted at this on Chaos, now it's time to step up and fully DELIVER!!
