Prince and how he makes music Hey Gang, I am lookinf for magazine articles, [No Prince vids allowed snip - luv4u], links etc where Prince talks about his craft, especially composition and songwriting. Any links anyone?
Two I remember are: 1) With Larry King he mentioned how he studied Stevie Wonder..but then Larry cut hiim off far too early
2) In an interview he spoke about a conversation with Beyonce and how he checked to see if she knew the changes to Ray Charles songs and Aretha Franklin. Would love for the musicians here to elaborate on this.

There is an issue of Musician magazine from 1997 (or was it from 1998?) that has a very long article on him discussing the making of Emancipation. He also spoke more in detail about his music making process in the various interviews he gave during the NPS and Rave eras (in various magazines dedicated for guitar, bass and keyboard players). His band members like Matt Fink and Tommy Barbarella have given good interviews on how he works with his band members.
