I was watching UTCM last night, it's actually a good film. Music band scenes would have made the film 7 times better. At Mary Sharon's birthday party at night, Mia Bocca & the New Position(i believe) were played, he easily could have had Jill Jones & the Revolution set up as the party band for those 2 songs
I would have love 2 C a video 4 Sometimes It Snows In April & Christopher Tracey's Parade and vivid colorful video something like Raspberry Beret + Girls & Boys
I thought Baby Go Go was from the Dream Factory sessions? It's A Wonderful Day was in the film and some good pre Madhouse Junk Music
Baby go go was for Parade, so was "Eternity". Heaven was for around the world in a day. It's a wonderful was from dream factory. But I really would like to hear Prince sing Mia Bocca. I'm sick and tired of making plans without making up my mind, teacher teacher can't u see I just need a little time.

I'll admit as a teenager, no matter how many times I watched this movie, i always, always cried when he died. just broke my heart. Now as an adult, the first time I watched it, after not seeing it for a very long time, when he dies, I laugh and go that Prince is a damn fool. This movie was and is a great movie and Parade is one of the few albums I can listen to from beginning to end. Just love it!!

Venus de Milo Aphrodite of Milos Ἀφροδίτη τῆς Μήλου Aphroditē tēs Mēlou
An ancient Greek statue and one of the most famous works of ancient Greek sculpture. Created at some time between 130 and 100 BC, it is believed to depict Aphrodite (Venus to the Romans) the Greek goddess of love and beauty. It is a marble sculpture, slightly larger than life size at 203 cm (6 ft 8 in) high. Its arms and original plinth have been lost. From an inscription that was on its plinth, it is thought to be the work of Alexandros of Antioch; it was earlier mistakenly attributed to the master sculptor Praxiteles. It is currently on permanent display at the Louvre Museum in Paris.
Moreover, the sensuous juxtaposition of flesh with the texture of drapery, which seems about to slip off the figure, adds an insistent note of erotic tension that is thoroughly Hellenistic in concept and intent.
Although Venus De Milo had existed for a few years as an untitled piano instrumental, initial tracking in the studio only took place in mid-July, 1985 at the Washington Avenue Warehouse, Eden Prairie, MN, USA (during the same set of sessions as Neon Telephone, Do U Lie? and Alexa De Paris). Clare Fischer arranged and recorded orchestration for the song at some point in mid-late 1985 at Monterey Sound Studios, Glendale, CA, USA.
The Aphrodite of Milos was discovered by a peasant named Yorgos Kentrotas on April 8, 1820, inside a buried niche within the ancient city ruins of Milos, the current village of Tripiti, on the Aegean island of Milos (also Melos, or Milo). The statue was found in two main pieces (the upper torso and the lower draped legs) along with several herms (pillars topped with heads), fragments of the upper left arm and left hand holding an apple, and an inscribed plinth. Olivier Voutier, a French naval officer, was exploring the island. With the help of the young farmer, Voutier began to dig around what were clearly ancient ruins. Within a few hours Voutier had uncovered Venus de Milo.
About ten days later, another French naval officer, Jules Dumont d'Urville, recognized its significance and arranged for a purchase by the French ambassador to Turkey, Charles-François de Riffardeau, marquis, later duc de Rivière.
In the year 1985 Prince Rogers Nelson of Minneapolis Minn USA created an instrumental piece called Venus de Milo. It was song number 7 side 1 on the Prince the Revolution album Parade and in the movie Under the Cherry Moon scene 28. features the piece Venus De Milo (Christopher & Mary kissing in the Phone booth) & scene 38. Venus De Milo (Mary wakes up in the grotto)

November 1985: Nice, France p 94 chapter 7 Possessed: the Rise & Fall of Prince
Back in France, the shooting of Under the shooting of Under the Cherry Moon limped to a close
On the set in Nice, Prince seemed conflicted about Christopher Tracy, the character he had created for himself to play in the film. This charismatic, sexy, and somewhat snide piano player was hardly a sympathetic figure, and Prince's plan all along had been for Tracy to die at the end of the film, representing his own symbolic transcendence of these character flaws. But Warner Bros. preferring (as film studios invariably do) a happy ending, pshed him to conclude with Tracy reforming and heading off into the sunset with lover interest Mary (Scott-Thomas).
The alternative ending was shot, and publicist Howard Bloom, viewing a cut of the film where Tracy survives, found himself believing in the character's redemptive journey. "Warner Bros. insisted on him getting the girl at the end, and it really worked," Bloom remembered. "This little asshole character that was so hard to identify with, you bonded with by the end."
But Prince favored the original ending. In the final cut, Tracy died (the victim of an assassination) with the result, in Bloom's view, that any meaning in the film was also destroyed.
