Please. The 7/7/7 show isn't even the best one Prince did at First Ave. That honor goes to the 8/3/83 show. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

For sure and that show is defintely the best EVER at First Ave. I'm pretty surprised they put him at #2.

How many times did Prince play First Avenue? Just because we have the boot of the 8/3/83 show doesn't mean it was the best one he ever did.
But it for sure was the most historical show he ever did there.

83 and 84 are two of the best live concerts I've ever heard, I ain't even gonna bother looking at that list.
Does there exist a soundboard of the 83 show in the same quality as the Birthday one that dropped last year?

I know what you all mean, but, hey, at least Prince is way up there. No matter your age, pursue your dreams so that you will LIVE.

Agreed. Besides if it weren't for Prince many of us might not even know about the first ave club. 99.9% of everything I say is strictly for my own entertainment

So true, kewlschool. I plan to head to Minneapolis after I graduate next year and you can bet that I'll be heading to 1st Ave soon after getting there. No matter your age, pursue your dreams so that you will LIVE.

Which makes it one of the top 3 best he ever did there
That show(8.3.1983) was one of the most electric shows, the energy at that show blow 7.7.2007 out the water ...again he didn't even play most of his music

Joe Cocker's concert was the first one ever at First Avenue (apparently called "The Depot" then)...I'm pretty certain that The Game Boyz dancing to the greatest hits of Barney would've been #1 if it were the first concert... "3123...that's next door to where the party be..."
