Prince wears make-up and weird clothes. I can understand why he is a bit too much for many women in that sense. However, he has an attractive face and an attractive body language. He is smart, has a sense of humor and is very independent. He has made a fortune because he is talented and because has worked very hard. He is respected by his peers (some could say he is the most respected musician by other musicians). These are the type of qualities women have always been looking from their partners. Unfortunately far too young women are being brainwashed these days to consider the type of men that are featured on MTV reality shows to be the norm for an attractive male. You know, men that do nothing worth noting and that you couldn't even really tell apart from each other.

To me, there is a difference between 'being attracted to someone' and 'finding someone sexy.'

When I first just saw his pictures, I didn't think he was necessarily sexy either. Very handsome yes, but sexy? meh. But after I got to see the music video, listen to his music, and see him performing his songs at concerts (..dvd), I don't exactly remember when was the turning point, but before I knew it this guy became sexy as hell to me! It's amazing how he was wearing sheeny purple eyeshadow, high heels and all that, and he still convinced me he was sexy. It's a weird feeling but I think Prince in a way opened my mind about how I perceive gender and what I consider 'sexy' from the opposite sex. And he definitely made me rethink my own biases on masculinity and femininity.

It's not just his music that got me hooked, it's how he presented himself as an artist and how he presented his music. I think sometimes it's those other factors than just personality or look that end up convincing me someone's sexy.

I understand what you're saying about the music and videos, and yes, the music and lyrics of some of the songs are very sexy. But that still doesn't make me see him as a sexy person. It just means that I think that he's been masterful at "creating sexiness".

I guess I'm able to separate the person from his art...

When I think of someone as "sexy", I find that person attractive, and can picture myself with him.
If I call another woman sexy, it is because I can see why men might be attracted to that person, even though I'm a straight woman.

I agree that Prince is a good-looking man, but I don't think that he's "sexy", in that he is not someone I could picture myself with. He does not possess the physical qualities that I find sexy.

That is in no way to put him down...

Well I guess everyone's different. I don't necessarily picture myself with that person when I say he's sexy. And as far as physical qualities go, I would think I know what is sexy, but it's only ideal and it never works out like that in real life, at least 4 me. Like I've seen many guys who are built & muscular and still not sexy at all and sometimes the skinniest guy I know can look very sexy. So really anyone can be sexy, it's more about that aura around that person, not the body or the look. But to each their own

No, indeed it is not weird to think he is sexy. I think, he is sexy and will always be. I even had a nickname for him, and that was and is LoveSexy.
