Like I said, I talked to a former Paisley Park guitarist/friend of Mr. Hayes about four weeks ago and he said Prince was working on a new album. But that's all I know.
Prince works on a new about almost 8 days a week.
The real question is................will he release it? |

No one forces you to listen to them you know.
Musicology, 3121, Planet Earth, Lotusflow3r, MPLSound and 20Ten ... not that bad really.
Some people on this forum really are "glass half empty" types.
they were not that great either. it has NOTHING to do with being a pessimist it has to do with having ears. thoes are not any where near as good as most of his WB albums.
In Musicology we have: Musicology, On the couch, A million days, The marrying kind...
3121: Get on the boat, The Word, Lolita, black sweat
Lotusflow3r: Chocolate box, Valentina, Ol Skool Company
THERE ARE SOME GREAT SONGS ON THOSE ALBUMS, So i Don't know why are we Arguing for |

But not the ones you listed. "The Marrying Kind", "The Word" and "Get On The Boat" are the only songs you named that I like. (though I do like other songs off those albums) |

We should hope an album comes out this year, because typically he does not release a new album in a "3" year.
1983: No new album
1993: No new album (The Hits/The B-Sides)
2003: No new album
:O

based on the last 5 or so i rather there not be anything any time soon
That assumes brilliant music is made on an imaginary timeline. Even if I thought the last 5 albums were so so - and I don't - how could anyone ask him to stop making music?? As if taking time off from performing/writing makes you a better performer and writer...? The 80's are over. So is the "80's Prince". He's long gone and grown up now. There's no going back, so try to accept who he is now, not who he used to be.

It was very early 2003, new years day 2003 to be exact, to members of NPGMC.
It was later available for anyone to download from the NPG download store.

I guess I did forget N.E.W.S. and Xpectation . . . my mindset was on traditional albums with lyrics.
I'm going to revisit those 2 albums tomorrow!
