they were not that great either. it has NOTHING to do with being a pessimist it has to do with having ears. thoes are not any where near as good as most of his WB albums.

A record with Andy Allo is definitely in the works, and since she is a songwriter in her own rights it will probably be more than just a Prince penned-arranged-produced album with someone else singing, but more of a real collaboration.

Now when/if/how it will be released is another matter...

That's all we know so far...

WHY bust your ass creating new music if you cant even afford to pay the musicians that you hire to create the album/cd?

Music is a business and without big companies footing the bill, how can an artist fulfill his mission or create what he or she hears in their head? Music sucks now. PreRecorded crap or a DJ spinning old jams that back up new lyrics. NEW MUSIC sucks! ADELE sucks but at least she is not Lady CRAPA or ADELE. NO musicians. NO PRICE to pay. PLASTIC Simon Cowell created crap that SUCKS!

I thank GOD that I had Prince, The Beatles, SLY STONE, The Isley Brothers and even The Fucking Blues Brothers! John and Dan were at least smart enough to surround themselves with real musicians like Steve Cropper and Duck Dunn. NEW MUSIC SUCKS! At Least The FOO Fighters play instrumenets. Electronic Computer generated MUZAK is HORSESHIT!

Really? These last five albums were miles better than the ten before them. Not one collection between The Gold Experience and Musicology can hold a candle to anything before or since. Yeah, I said it.

Well in that case I'd rather advise AA to produce her own album for her own fans and ask Prince to focus on his own music and own CD. I can't help it, I am addicted to his music and I want to hear some new material from HIM.

"planet earth" being the worst of all, really depressing...

I know I am probably late on this, so please forgive me.

I am reading Ronin Ro's book on Prince, I believe it goes through 3121 album.

Either way, in reading the book it is quite facinating in reading how intensely he records, lays tracks, creates albums, etc. I mean, one wasn't done before the next one was being fleshed out.

I say this because I remember him on Lopez Tonight talking about recording hiatus and people asking for a new album and I wonder is it even possible with his obsessive quality when it comes to music to even go on a recording hiatus or not put out an album?

Is it possible for him to mellow with age?

And which other acts have had a better output in the last 7/8 yrs? Ur definitely glass half empty my friend.

when things are quiet in the prince world it always means something is in the works we all should know that by now He is always working, it is his nature, his life. wether or not you will appreciate his output is on you..the eye is in the beholder. as they say....i for one find gems on every record he has put out and for the most part like the majority of his songs, there was a rumor on another thread about him working on artwork for a new cd...so he mos def is going to come out with something...plus we all know that vault if full of completed albums..weve been spoiled thru the years by his genious and take his work 4 granted at times..and that is fine..we are all human...it happens.

relax and enjoy the music u dig...until he drops the next joint on us.

Like I said, I talked to a former Paisley Park guitarist/friend of Mr. Hayes about four weeks ago and he said Prince was working on a new album. But that's all I know.
