Gilmour is like he's been to his first guitar lesson with Prince...and he's come back, learnt the basic notes (stunted slow motion guitar) . Not a bad effort Dave - but a big hint - don't play something you can't improve upon (your guitar tone and subtlety (the words for lack of technique) don't make up for anything).

And Tom Jones - I believe Tom you once said Prince had a weak voice but you had 'strong pipes'. Well that was weak sunshine.

There's nothing quite as bad as hearing a guitarist :

1. Place finger on string and press to fretboard.

2. Pluck string

3. Release string

All the above done at 1/4 speed to a song as dynamic as Purple Rain is just one big yawn.

Stay comfortably numb Dave. Leave the rest to Prince.

Sorry, people, but Tom Jones has the kind of voice (like McCartney) that can make even a Justin Bieber-song or a plain recital of the alphabet sound good, and you know it.

And calling Purple Rain a 'dynamic' song is a bit of a stretch.

Having Tony M rap the doctor part in Comfortably Numb, or better yet, the Nazi-part in Waiting For The Worms, though - now that I would pay to see.
