I really like this hue of purple much more than the one that Prince´s guitar has but then again maybe it´s just the lighting and it actually IS the same purple. How do you make sure that you get every single detail right? I mean, from the color to the exact size and other tidbits, how do you do that? Just from looking at pictures and reading stuff, or do you have some info on the specs of the real thing? And how does your guitar differ from the VERY first symbol guitar made by Jerry Auerswald. And...one last question from an absolute guitar layman...what are the differences between your guitar, and the one that Jerry made, and the ones that Prince´s luthiers made after he got the one from Jerry Auerswald? Because I remember the Gold Experience days and the live shows , and I saw some of the very first models back then and maybe it´s just my imagination but the first one looked slightly different than the ones that followed it ( sure, some had different colors...black, white) but even the golden ones differed from the first one.
Questions, questions, questions.... " I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?"

A lot of studying of pictures and chatting to fans. You have to be careful to only copy geniune Prince's one as i had to re-do the headstock as i copied a replica.
i've been sent loads of rare pics from gigs, posters etc. size is taken from Princes' height and pics i have of symbol guitars next to hohners and clouds. i have a friend who has a cloud and hohner so could compare. 1 of the symbols is for him so he'll have the whole set.
Differences are:
Mine is made from tulip wood where as his was maple. i prefer to carve with tulip wood.
Mine is a bold on neck and his was a thru neck.I did this for shipping purposes so they could be sent abroad easily with less chance of them breaking.
mine is a hard tail bridge and his later guitar tech one was a tremolo bridge. mine has Schaller M6 mini machine heads like the guitar techs but the original one of his had love hearts. otherwise the same in detail. same pickups and will do the symbol and heart inlay on the neck.
Its as close as i think is necessary and its a really cool detailed replica.
cant wait to paint these necks and assemble !
