If I was the dog and you was the cat ...baby, I'd show you where it's at!
I have nothing to say here except "La, La, La, He, He, Hee" kicks some serious ass.
Ow! Put your foot on the rock!

I'd love to see him do it live. Put that band through a hardcore funk workout. Make 'em earn that paycheck.

Listen to the extended version with headphones...amazing all the little thigns that are going on

Listening to the extended version with headphones on is EXACTLY what prompted this thread in the first place!

I love both of the cat/dog songs, La la La He He Hee and Scarlet Pussy. I have no idea if the man would ever have a pet but he gets the feline/human qualities with precision. That bored little meow in Scarlet Pussy is divine. Great songs that I have not heard him perform. Has anyone else? Philmoreliz

He did play portions of 'La, La, La, He, He, Hee' during 'When Doves Cry' on the SOTT tour. Dog barks n all... "I like to watch."

The best example I've heard is on the Times In Sweden boot. Begins in When Doves Cry at about 2:20. Check it out. LLLHHH is definitely one of my Prince favs of all time.
"I like to watch." | |

Thanks a lot. But no Scarlet Pussy. Sigh. "Get that meow-meow off my leg!" Philmoreliz

Great song. Surprising how many people weren't aware of the extended version for a long time (don't think that's the case these days).

IIRC, this was written and recorded on a dare by Sheena Easton.
Anyone else heard about that?
"Suh-LAMMIN'!!!"
Prost! "Whatever skin we're in

La, la, la, he, he, hee (highly explosive)
Like, the song on The B-Sides, only its about ten minutes and forty-five seconds long. Find it!

Ohmigod. You HAVE to hear it. You have to.

I've heard that story. She jokingly came up with the title and challenged him to build a song around it.

Is it on any official release because I think I have all of those? MODS...I'm really not asking for a hook-up, just for a point in the official direction.
I'm firmly planted in denial

Is it on the Hits and B sides cd? If yes, you'd think I'd have heard it. I do own it. I'll have to look this weekend.

The "single edit", or whatever, is on The B-Sides, yes. It is NOT the same song. Find a way to get the 12" version - I'm sure somebody can help you out. If they can't, we'll talk in orgnote.
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
Okay, 'cause I thought I was
12" version of "La la la hee hee hee" will see if I can find it.
Thanks! I'm firmly planted in denial
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
It may be labled "La, la, la, he, he, hee (Highly Explosive)"
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
Thanks, I wasn't sure if that was in the title or your feeling for it. Yeah, I know. * * I'm firmly planted in denial

I got it as an LP, a 12-inch. I cannot stop listening to it. I think iscogs as another one right now that is available. Philmoreliz
