What if an artist today came out with a simular style, voice, image, and delivery as prince, well the old one? what would be your response

I'd be like... "Oh. Shit, this [Snip N word - luv4u] can time travel!"
Jokes aside, I will say this about Prince. Often imitated, mimicked, and emulated, what he was, what he did, and how he did it, will never, and couldn't possibly ever be duplicated.

Obviously from time to time artists do come out with work that sounds like Prince's shit or whatever. And yeah, I enjoy it and think it's rad, but I never lose sight of who came up with this stuff first. It's always, "Oh I love that song....it reminds me of a Prince track."
So really if a young-Prince doppelganger came out it'd probably be the same thing. I'd probably be a fan and buy their work - and enjoy it, but no they wouldn't really be able to replace him, no.

This is the part I agree with. I'm sorry to anyone I offended. [Edited 1/19/12 4:33am]

Impossible for somebody to match the new Prince, let alone the old school Prince.
Can't do it.

My response would be: "Why the fuck is this guy trying to be Prince?"
Seriously, Prince is so much his own singular thing that people can only borrow a bit of his thing and they get labeled "Prince like". I mean, read some review of Justin Timberlake's last album, or reviews of any D'Angelo album. So...if somone was similar in style, voice, image, and delivery....they'd not be taken seriously. Ask Simon Cowell.
