Darren Hayes Covering I Wish U Heaven Never knew about it before, but I just stumbled upon a video of Darren Hayes (Savage Garden) singing his version of IWUH. Thoughts?

The original "I Wish U Heaven" sounds like an over-glorified demo anyway...

Nothing beats the fantastic original song made by Prince,
And those 7 and 12 inch singles and the 1988 music videos by Prince...
just wow.

PR or KISS excluded, many Prince songs like this one are a bit difficult to cover, I can't honestly explain why but I believe what I post. It seems to fit HIS falsetto style only, if sung in another style, it would just be repellant. Jeux Sans Frontiers | |

On his 2007 tour he sampled the drum beat of 'When Doves Cry' and covered 'Baby I'm A Star' but had to remove them from his DVD because Prince objected apparantly.
One of his all-time favourite albums is 'Sign 'O' The Times' ...he's a massive Prince fan. Elisa Fiorillo was his backing singer when he was in Savage Garden too. 3121... Don't U Wanna Come? |
