Prince is black, negro, colored, a person of color, african-american, a nigga. Get it? I know this is an international site but damn when will the madness end. Here in the US i don't believe there are any "pure" black people (whatever that means). The africans brought here got together with the euros and the indians. We come in all shades from extremely light to pitch dark. Most of us have all shades of people in our families both past and present. Prince is just as black as say James brown. Just a different shade. I'm pretty sure there some euro in James' bloodline too. U just don't see it on his face.

Prince is Black American- which would be accurate, for which could be a mixture of races...most Black Americans are Native American and Euro Mixed...Alot of Blacks in America, are not too open to acknowledge their mixed heritage...but we are the most mixed race in america...all blacks, whether you choose to believe it or not!

My mothers family is of Native, African and Euro decent...My fathers family is of Dominican and Cuban decent, their both mixed groups of nationalities also.

So I praise any person who acknowledges their roots... I'm proud to be Bla-tino!

I did hear an interview with Prince in 83...where he say's that his parents are product: African, Italian and Native American...and I believe it!

If not Italian, he's definitely African/Native Decent!

U are what U are, & what U know...from both parents..no matter if the male gene is more potent etc...It took both people 2 make U, so U carry both of them inya right? Some people truly don't know 4 whatever the reason what they are. So if they look black or kinda black and have truly no otherway of finding the truth then I understand.

Now in your girlfriends case U said both parent were black right? U didn't say mixed...so if thats the case of them being black, then thats why she "maybe" feels the way she does. Thats despite how light she is or her eye color, hair etc...No crime in that.

Now if her parents say "well we have a tiny bit of Cherokee or Irish etc...that runs in the family" then there U are...no matter how little the drop...its still apart of her genetic makeup. in all the old black and white pictures i've ever seen you can't get an accurate picture of skin shade. i've seen that particular picture in color and none of the people in it look that light.

Prince's father John L. Nelson told Ebony magazine in 1986 (Prince on cover/promoting cherry moon) that he is not half Italian and that his mother is not White or half anything. She is Black. He did say that on Prince's father side he has a white great grandmother and on his mother's side he has a Indian(North American) Great grandmother. Lots of Blacks in America are mixed like that.

All you have to do is look on the first few pages of the emancipation booklet and you can see that Prince's mom and dad are Black. His mom is shown sitting on a rock and his dad is shown in a framed picture next to the rock.

Prince lied about his race, because he was and still is a self hating uncle tom. He's putting on a Black act now, because his career went down the drain.
