Thinking about musical performances, I should say ONA...but what about the fun we had watching at the Lovesexy tour? this is definately the best.
Cat, Sheila, Dr Fink, Miko, jr, Boni Boyer, Eric&Atlanta, call me a nostalgic girl, but I miss them all and their sound!

The opening of LoveSexy was one of the best concert openings. The poem with the strings in the backround, the building of suspense, knowing something would go down.

The Lovesexy show didn't open like that (that was the second half)
It opened with the drum beat & Erotic City.

Difficult to pick a 'best', as they were all different and good in their own way.

Personal favorites were

The Gold Experience tour:
Kick-ass rock opening with the curtain dropping and Prince playing a cranked up Endorphinmachine while on a conveyor belt bringing him to the front of the stage.

Sign O' The Times tour:
Opening with just Prince, Dr Fink and a drum machine (and Cat dancing) playing the title track with minimal lighting.

oops, your right. i almost didn't want to post that info but i did. i dousn't matter because "cross the line" still kicked ass as a intro for "eye No", which i think
is one of his best songs especially live.

I don't think you can beat the Lovesexy tour for pure showmanship. Always something going on, always something to look at, great lighting, cool stage clothes, hydrolic stage, swingset, basketball hoop, 66 t-bird!!!

the best show i've ever been to has to be ONA...but my favorite show i've ever seen (on video, unfortunately) is certainly lovesexy!

I didn't see Prince until the Jam Of the Year, but I love all that I saw, but ONA was incredible.

But I would do anything to go back in time and experience all of the tours, Iam very sorry back when I was younger I didnot have the means to go out of town to some of the shows because he came to my home town in 1983 and the tickets sold out before my friend could get them and than he didnot come to my hometown again until Jam of The Year.

I wish at the celebration, each nite maybe he could do a show similar to all of the tours for the people that missed them. That would be fabulous.

ONA was the best tour since 'lovesexy'.(i saw them all in between) third spot to the JOTY tour in '98.

Act II sucked balls though!.

Tied for first place for me are the Parade and Lovesexy tours. Both tours for me were amazing celebrations of Prince's music, and Prince was having so much fun at the same time.
