Questions About Non-circulating Songs

The songs below from '79 - '89 have entries in The Vault book/site but there's practically no info at all on them. From what was written it seems they are unheard and there aren't session logs for them -- any guesses on how it's even know that these songs exist? Could many of them be only improvised snippets, if so are the names fabricated? Maybe some evolved into songs that were released or circulated (like "Dear Uncle George" to "Let's Work", for instance)...

Do It Again

Gypsy

Love Affair

Love Of Mine

American Jam

Big Brass Bed

Bulgaria

Eros

Plastic Love Affair

When The Sh*t Comes Down

Maybe some songs have been mentioned in interviews with those close to the sessions. Possibly the person who mentioned the title, stated so "off the record".

If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

Dear Uncle George evolved into "Private Joy".

The expanded version of my book PRINCE and The Purple Rain Era Studio Sessions 1983-1984 was released in November 2018. (www.amazon.com/gp/product/1538114623/ref=dbs_a_def_rwt_bibl_vppi_i0) or www.facebook.com/groups/1...104195943/

I didn't think of that -- so there's a chance that some of these songs may only exist as titles. I suppose it goes back to the theory that there may not be as many completed songs in Prince's vault as we're led to believe...

Why do you think that? There's near 1000 floating around out there, and a well-documented few hundred more.

Sorry, I meant only the uncirculating songs on the list here. Take this entry for instance from Princevault:

Hump You is an unreleased song recorded at some point in 1981 at Prince's Kiowa Trail Home Studio, Chanhassen, MN, USA (around the same time as Susan). Little is known about the track, which remains unreleased.

Apparently the song was recorded but is unreleased, uncirculating and seemingly unheard. My original question was how do we even know of this song? Squirrelgrease suggested maybe the song was only mentioned in an interview or by an associate, so I wondered if it's possible some of these little known "songs" may only be the ideas for a song, in other words they only exist as a title...
