I just happened to look over some of the folks I'm following and noticed that fake "official" Prince page is still active after a year(which I've now unfollowed)??? His people are so diligent about getting stuff off YouTube, I'm surprised no cease and desist threats have gone to this page. Noticed that Chaka Khan, ?uestlove and 24k people are fooled also. . .

is the person actually purporting to be Prince? I thought it was just someone who liked to give updates. and nothing wrong with that.

I think the main issue is the wording "Official Prince Twitter Page". There was a whole thread on the .org *last* year that stated it was a fake page. Including confirmation from Dr. Funkenberry, who has permission to post "official" news and such.

ah, I see. thanks. I don't follow it on twitter. In fact, I only log in to twitter about twice a year.

Unless the word "Verified" is next to the account, it's not Prince's official account. Also, the day Prince actually opens an account on Twitter, 500,000 people would follow him in one day, instead of 24, 000.

Although, there are quite a few famous folks (Bobby Brown being one I can think of) who are official but haven't verified. So that's not always a "for sure". But in this case we still know that Prince account is fake. It just was a curiousity to me. . .
